These are some tips for Arizona Sunshine.

Configuration

The following is a few game settings.

Turn on advanced physics
The game recommends an i7 for the advanced physics but people have reported no issues with a lower processor. The experience is reported to be better since you can then blow off limbs or heads and the environment looks more realistic. YMMV but it can't hurt to try it.

Play the game on easy
The shooting is closer to realistic than you might be used to and it has it's own quirks. There is no shame in playing a first run through on easy. You can make it more difficult later.

Gameplay

Health
Those burgers replenish your health. Pick up the burger and put it to your mouth to eat. It's a simple thing, but something a lot of people overlook. There are also some weird twig snacks scattered around.

Inventory
You can of course put clips and magazines on your belt but you can also carry grenades. You need to hold them a bit closer to your chest (not your belly or waist) and then let go. They should stick but if not, just pick them back up again. Just don't pull the pin first...

Ammo is shared between gun types so yes, that 6 shooter uses a clip. Weird I know, but it does make it simplier to manage. Below is the maximum ammo for each type:

Handgun: 300
Machine Gun: 1000
Shotgun: 100
Grenade Launcher: 20 (?)
Grenades: 4

Reloading
Practice reloading. You'll be doing it often and you need to be able to quickly reload during a horde wave. When you aren't fighting for your life, you can reload a half empty weapon. The clip or magazine will drop to the ground and you can then pick it back up to put back into your inventory so you don't lose those couple of bullets.

Shooting
Although the game is not 100% realistic, it follows some pretty close mechanics. One of the things I've found is that my barrel drops a lot compared to other VR shooting games but after some practice, I tend to not do it anymore. It sometimes helps to have a weapon with a set of sights you are comfortable with. I haven't seen too much of a difference in handgun damage, just clip size. Below is the correct sighting of a pistol with iron sights.



There actually seems to be plenty of ammo in the game though it's mostly handgun ammo. And shooting helps your aim so you don't have to worry too much about running out of ammo. Also, no one wants to die with a full clip. You will get a better feel of when you've emptied a weapon without having to count shots, so shoot often and quickly. Practice keeps you alive!

Run
There's no shame in running either. Especially if you feel you're being overwhelmed. You don't even need to turn around to teleport if you want to back up some.

Throwing Objects
You can throw objects (and there is an achivement for killing a Fred with a duck) but the mechanics are a little tricky. Most objects can be thrown but they don't do a ton of damage unless you aim for the head! Shovels, axes and other tools do no damage though. That might change in a future update. Also, remember your wrist straps on your wands or you might Nintendo Wii those expensive controllers into the wall.

Misc

• If you know a horde is coming, it helps to find the right spot to fight from. Keeping your back to the wall helps as does finding the high ground. Buildings work well and it's even better if you can close a door between you and the Fred's. They can't open doors or windows and even a doorway will help slow them down and keep them in one place. (Fish.. meet barrel)
  
  
• When being attacked by large numbers, forget aiming for their heads. The torso has a better chance of hitting and you will slow them down.
  
  
• Red barrels do what all red barrels do and explode (I think that's a game law).
  
  
• Flares (in horde mode only I think) attract Fred's and make good bait (see the previous comment).
  
  
• Do not skip the shotgun. It can be found in the mine after blowing up a barrier. It can be easy to miss and you don't want to be that person who doesn't have a shotgun in a zombie game.
  
  
• You will come across a handgun with a mini flashlight. Once you have this, you can drop the big flashlight and carry 4 weapons again.

You have to squeeze the duck (trigger button) and it will squeak.

Why would you say shoot the body instead of the head.... Head shots are one shot kills.... BUT.... you have to hit above the nose or it counts as a body shot.

Perhaps you could clarify something for me: occasionally I'd find what looked like medkits - little dark green packs with red crosses on them, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to use them. Am I correct that those aren't anything? Only burgers and jerky give you health?

There are a few places where you can trigger a horde and backtrack to close a fence behind you. That trivializes dealing with them, since you can pick them off through the fence. Even at the spot near the explosives-rigged wall, I'd seen Freds climb the gate, but when I triggered the horde they wouldn't go back over it the other way.
