Helldivers Armor and How to Get it.

In this guide I'll teach you how to get the armors of the game, aside from the unobtainables such as the Developer Cape or DLCs like the Support Pack.

Tactical Armor

Tactical is an armor set that is unlocked when first purchasing, and playing, the game.

Desert Armor

Desert is an armor set that is achieved when the player reaches level 3.

Woodland Armor

Woodland is unlocked when the player reaches level 6.

Arctic Armor

The Arctic armor set is achieved by leveling to level 9.

Black Ops Armor

Black Ops' Helmet and Chestpiece are unlocked by leveling the player to level 20, and the cape is achieved by leveling to 23.

Veteran Armor

Veteran is achieved by leveling to level 25 or participating in an unsuccessful Galactic War.

Volcanic Armor

Volcanic is unlocked by levelling to level 27.

Heroic Armor

The Heroic set is achieved at 3 different levels. Reaching level 28 will get you the helmet, 29 the chestpiece and 30 will get you the cape.

Admiral Armor

Admiral is unlocked when the player reaches level 50.

Ceremonial

Ceremonial is unlocked by participating in a successful Galactic War.

Race-Specific Capes

Bug Ecologist

This cape is unlocked by participating in a Bug, Difficulty 12 'Helldive' Mission.

Cyborg Peacekeeper

This cape is unlocked by participating in a Cyborg, Difficulty 12 'Helldive' Mission.

Illuminate Negotiator

This cape is unlocked by participating in an Illuminate, Difficulty 12 'Helldive' Mission.

Assault Armor

Assault is received for free to celebrate Helldiver's First Birthday on March 3rd.

Liberty and Community

Liberty is received for free to celebrate 'Liberty Day' on October 26th.








Community is given to those who have done jobs for the community in astounding ways. Such as reporting game-breaking bugs, winning competitions or guiding new recruits.

Also, Community Capes are no longer distributed – not at the moment, at least. I know because I've received the Community Hero role in the official Helldivers Discord and have discussed it with a Community Team member at Arrowhead.

The guide doesn't mention the nine "Proven Expert" capes which can be obtained as rewards for winning 1st place records in the Proving Grounds (PGs). Each member of a winning team receives the appropriate cape. Each PG cape has three tiers for each of the three factions respective to each PG difficulty level, where T1 = d5 ; T2 = d9 ; T3 = d15 .

There are many cheaters running PGs on the PC version so it's near-impossible to win a cape legitimately, and HD1 has no anti-cheat measures whatsoever.

"loc:cus_helmet_developer_male" and "loc:cus_helmet_developer_female" are part of the unobtainable Developer set. Aside from being an employee at Arrowhead, the only(?) way to acquire them is through cheating, including the use of third-party software to unlock hidden Steam DLCs. The nine PG "Proven Expert" capes, Community Cape, and Developer set items have associated Steam DLC AppIDs and can be acquired through such piracy tools.

What is loc:cus_helmet_developer_male and loc:cus_helmet_developer_female from? I have both but I don't remember unlocking them.
