Starbound Ancient Alphabet Unicode Translation guide

Explenation

starbound can use unicode with is pretty cool because it means you can do cool things like typing letters that you cant normally do with a qwerty keyboard like typing in accented letters with out having to copy and paste them in.

How to do this

well there are a couple of ways you can do this here are the three i know
Alt – x
In Microsoft Word you can insert Unicode characters by typing the hex value of the character then typing Alt-x. You can also see the Unicode value of a character by placing the cursor immediately after the character and pressing Alt-x. This also works in applications that use the Windows rich edit control such as WordPad and Outlook.

Alt – +
Another approach which works with more applications is as follows. you can make this method to work by going into the registry editor under the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Input Method make a new string value. lets call this string value specifically and only as EnableHexNumpad lets modify this strings value data to 1. after this you will need to either sign out or restart your coputer after this. you will now be able to directly imput unicode characters by typing in ther hex value

UnicodeInput
Another option is to install the UnicodeInput utility. This worked with every application I tried, including Internet Explorer. Once installed, the window below pops up whenever you hold down the Alt key and type the plus sign on the numeric keypad. Type the numeric value of the character in the box, click the Send button, and the character will be inserted into the window that had focus when you clicked Alt-plus.

hobo.ttf (the game's font file) already contains these characters, so you don't actually have to do anything special. Just extract the main pak file and you should be able to install it.

Alrighty. I will see what i can find.

Technically, that should be possible, but, I do not have the knowledge for creating fonts,
there would also be the issue on if you wanted it to be the normal font, or to occupy the same space it does in the game.
I might be wrong on this, but it might just be in the font files used in starbound, though I don't really play this game very much anymore.
