The Low FPS Solution!

So you are having problems with unturned, huh? Everyone is. Lets stop blaming Nelson, the solution is here! Even if you dont lag, this will increase your fps more than it already is. It doesnt means that unturned don't need to be optimized, it actually does. Trust me, this problem isn't caused because of BattleEye.

The obvious

Everyone who faces low fps know those "fixes" that doesn't help much, but they can do some difference.

Simply for this step, try reducing graphics (duh), and set the render to Legacy.

Also try not using something other than unturned open
Also set unturned priority to high

Run in Windowed Mode

I noticed that running the game on windowed mode makes the game run a little smoother and better.

If you want to try it out, go to in-game configuration and then> display> untoggle the option "Fullsccreen".

How do i fullscreen on windowed mode?

Unturned does not support launch options, but i found an .exe that allows that. No virus, trust me, thats simple stuff. The name of the executable is Borderless Gaming [github.com]

UnPark Cores

In some gaming forums people said that their fps increased after unparking their cores, i tried that and i felt like it worked.

Important notes

This can possibly overheat your PC, so i recommend using a cooler, but if not, after 1 hour playing do a 10 minutes rest without anything open, but if your using a cooler, even if your out for lunch, close the game.

Even using a cooler, after like 2 hours do a 15 minutes rest with nothing open.

Disabling steam overlay

Steam overlay on unturned makes it lag more than it already does, i recommend disabling it, its not a "tweak" that makes you unable of something since you now use unturned on windowed mode (i hope you do)

Its something easy to do, you go to steam options> in-game> enable steam overlay

This step can be dangerous if you do something wrong, read with caution.

This step is the most useful in this guide, it does a BIG difference on the performance of your computer

Under [386enh], if your Windows is 32 bits, paste (WITHOUT REMOVING ANYTHING):

MinSPs=16, Minimal system size 16Bits

ConservativeSwapFileUsage=1 Forces windows to use all installed PCI.

All the same thing but for 64 bits systems
