How to get Aces Wild to stop crashing with Steam Controller or PS4 controllers
By Lowen
Aces Wild crashed on startup once I switched from using an Xbox360 controller to a Steam Controller and does the same with a PS4 controller. Here's how I fixed the crashes and got Aces Wild to work with controllers other than Xbox360.

Step 1
Launch Steam in big picture mode. Configure the controller. I recommend as a gamepad.

Attempt to launch Aces Wild and verify that it crashes.
Step 2
Turn the Controller off or unplug it. For the Steam Controller you do this in the power menu of Steam Big Picture mode.
Make sure it stays off or unplugged until the guide says to turn it back on.
Step 3
Attempt to launch the game with the Steam Controller off. If it launches, skip this step. Otherwise:

Go to find your aces wild install ...\steamapps\common\Aces Wild.
Navigate to ...\steamapps\common\Aces Wild\Content\Data and delete settings.awx and controller.awx, if they exist.

Ensure the controller is still off or unplugged and verify that the game starts up without crashing. Exit the game.

If it still crashes, see if there are any other game controllers that may be causing a problem by turning them off or unplugging them.
Final Step!
Launch the game. VERIFY THE CONTROLLER IS OFF or unplugged.

After the game starts, turn the controller back on/plug it in and it should work.

You will have to turn the controller off or unplug, launch, then turn it back on or plug it back in every time you play.
