Great Writers: The works of Poe, Shakespeare, And Doyle

Description
UPDATE: I just want to let my followers know that, unfortunately, the next update will have to be pushed back. I had Hamlet and Macbeth set up and ready to go, along with some minor tweaks to some of the other works, and was in the middle of adding some Frost and Twain pieces when my pc suffered a hard drive failure. I plan to complete this mod, but right now my modding is going to have to be paused. Once my gaming system is back up and running, I will get back to this set. I want to apologize to everyone waiting, and say that I will update this as soon as I can.

I recently found an H.P. Lovecraft mod, adding sevel of his books to the game. I then found, to my horror, that there was nothing in the way of Poe, Shakespeare, or Doyle. This simple mod aims to change that.

Simply adds a chest to the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood, in the corner behind the counter. The chest will contain a trove of classic books in time, but currently only holds a number by Poe:

The Black Cat

The Tell-Tale Heart

The Cask of Amontillado

The Gold Bug, volumes 1-5(I cut it into chunks best I could)

And Poe's infamous poem, The Raven

NOW ALSO CONTAINS

The Pit and the Pendulum

The Masque of the Red Death

The Purloined Letter

The poem Annabel Lee

Romeo and Juliet (5 volumes, by act)

A Midsummer's Nights Dream (5 volumes, by act)

I plan to add:

Hamlet

Macbeth

A Study in Scarlet

The Hounds of the Baskervilles

I may also add other stories, if requested, and it fits into the Classics genre.

WARNING: The Shakespeare works are MASSIVE, even cut apart by acts. THESE BOOKS MAY LAG.

I'm not doing this for popularity, I merely feel that, if H.P. Lovecraft has a place here, so too do some of the other great literary masters.

I will add that I am considering including some of Twain's work, particularly the individual Adventures of Sawyer and Finn, and possibly some Dickens, most notably A Christmas Carol.

I ask because it would be difficult for me to put an author's entire work into this mod, which is why I'm asking for favorite pieces. It both makes it easier on me, and it prevents the mod from ending up over-large and laggy. Even if I only did all of Shakespeare, with the need to break the plays down, it would easily become over 100 individual books. Since the game doesn't like such a large amount of unique items in a chest, the lag would easily match that of some of the containers in the Testing Hall.

Oh, just don't restrict yourself to Frost. Seriously though, Tyger Tyger, the Road Not taken, Once upon a snowy eve I think... been a while... lol

Small update, I am working on Macbeth as we speak, It's a bit slow going, simply becase the Creation Kit likes to crash on me. I've got three acts of five finished, and I'll start on Hamlet hopefully tonight. As far as adding Frost's work, are there any particular pieces you'd like to see, GenocideEndGame?

Silentrpggamer: A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of my favorites. Honestly, poetry is the one thing I can barely find for books. and I love me Lore.

I've got no book suggestions, but just wanted to thank you! Macbeth has always been one of my favorite stories :D

Perhaps some poetry by Robert Frost and such?

@GenocideEndGame, @SilentRPGamer, TBH, I actually forgot about this mod, what with a bunch of crap happening IRL, including the loss of the computer I made this mod on. Things are much quieter now, and I will do my best to update the mod in the next few weeks. I will FINALLY add Macbeth, and I'll go through and add a few others, as well, even new authors, if you have any to suggest.

Still works, don't recall MacBeth. Good mod still.

Does this still work? And did you ever get around to adding Macbeth?
