En esta guía intentaré dar las posibles soluciones de los problemas que pasé, si te paso alguno que no esté en esta lista avísame y trataremos de darle solución.

Esta guia funciona igualmente para GTA Episodies From Liberty City. Todo caso tengo pensado hacer una misma para el ya que algunas personas adquieren el otro juego y no este.

Recordando que el día 29 de noviembre del 2016 rockstar lanzo un nuevo parche para GTAIV solucionando algunos problemas del juego entre ellos el inicio de sección en con "Social Club". Si posiblemente eres uno de los usuarios que adquirió el juego de manera Física y no digital o por medio de STEAM quizás tengas este problema o el de "Inicio de sesión fallida Social Club, Por favor intenta más tarde" para solucionarlo tendrás que descargar el parche 1.0.8.0 del siguiente enlace:

Si no sabes que versión tienes instalada, una manera sencilla seria ver el inicio de "social club" en la versión 1.0.7.0 es así:



Y en la versión 1.0.8.0 es:



Cambian levemente.

Otra manera de ver que versión tienes es de la siguiente manera:

GTA IV Físico:

Buscamos la raíz del juego por defecto es "c:/ archivos de programa/rockstargames/ gta iv"
o simplemente en el icono que se crea en el escritorio le das clic derecho después en donde dice "Abrir ubicación del archivo" en las primeras opciones que sale.

Ya después de haber ubicado la raíz del juego debemos encontrar el archivo ejecutable "GTAIV.exe" aproximadamente pesa 15.2mb después le damos clic derecho y seleccionamos "propiedades".

Después buscamos la pestaña que dice "Detalles" y en la parte que dice versión del producto, nos indicara que versión tenemos instalada.

Algunas de las imágenes de "GTA IV STEAM" te servirán de guía.

GTA IV STEAM:

Vamos a nuestra biblioteca y damos clic derecho en "Grand theft Auto IV"



Después damos en "Propiedades"



Presionamos en la pestaña "Archivos locales"



Y seguido en "Ver archivos locales..."

En esta parte se abrirá una ventana que tendremos que dar clic en la carpeta "GTAIV"

Cuando estemos hay buscamos el archivo "GTAIV.exe" y damos clic derecho para seleccionar "Propiedades"



Después seleccionamos la pestaña "Detalles" y obtendremos la información que necesitamos



Después de descargar el Parche e instalarlo ya podremos jugar

Estas son algunas posibles soluciones que trae el nuevo parche:

• Solucionado el problema del código "WTV270" que indicaba la conexión con Windows Live Sign in Assistant / Games for Windows.
  
• Compatibilidad con Windows 8, 8.1 y 10
  
• Solución a algunos bugs de misiones e indicadores del mapa del juego.
  
• "Compatibilidad" con tarjetas graficas recientes. - En este caso no es muy cierto aún sigue presentando problemas.
  
• Optimizaciones menores. - Realmente en optimizaciones no veo diferencia con respecto a la versión 1.0.7.0

Si aún sigues teniendo problemas con el juego por favor pasa a la solución "2) Inicia el juego pero queda la pantalla negra y algunas veces dice dejo de funcionar." y "5) Online".

Otro punto es que posiblemente tienes la configuración de las opciones graficas a nivel que supera el rendimiento de tu computadora, así que lo recomendable es bajar todo e ir probando si realmente te "corre" o persiste el problema.

Preguntas con sus respectivas respuestas:

A)

Cuando entro al menú de opciones y las configuro a mi gusto, doy en guardar cambios, pero apenas realizo esta acción se cierra y me sale una ventana con un error “D3Dxxxxxx” ¿Que puedo hacer?

RTA: Esto se debe a que posiblemente no se instalaron bien las librerías de DirectX así que lo más aconsejable es ir a la carpeta de nuestro juego (como he mostrado en el paso "1" ) y en vez de entrar en la carpeta de "GTAIV " entramos a la que dice "Installers" y en ella instalamos solamente las carpetas "DirectX_jun2008" y "DirectX_Mar2009".

Si el problema persiste es posiblemente porque tus configuraciones están más altas, así que baja la configuración.

B)

Puedo entrar en el juego, pero solo se ve mi personaje y algunas cosas, lo demás se ve gris, ¿Esto a que se debe?

RTA: Lamento decirte que esto pasa por que no cumples los requisitos mínimos del juego en su defecto es por la falta de memoria RAM o en su mayoría la tarjeta gráfica no es la adecuada.

C)

Todo me va bien, solo que en el menú de opciones graficas me dice que tengo una tarjeta gráfica de 23mb o 512mb pero en realidad es de más, ¿Como soluciono esto?

RTA: Se supone que esto ya lo han solucionado los de rockstar con la actualización actual 1.0.8.0 pero aun persiste este problema, la única solución es la típica de crear un archivo y coloquemos la cantidad de VRAM de nuestra tarjeta. El hecho que puedas aumentar este valor no quiere decir que funcione mas rápido, solo que el juego no se "limitara".

Vamos a la carpeta raiz del juego GTAIV y en cuando nos encontremos hay crearemos un archivo con el bloc notas (.txt) llamado commandline:



Lo abrimos y en el colocamos -availablevidmem xxxx.0 las "X" representan el valor de tu tarjeta si es de 256 entonces colocarías -availablevidmem 256.0, si fuera 512 -availablevidmem 512.0, y así sucesivamente.



Guardamos y ya podremos jugar.

Retomando que ya tienes actualizado GTA IV en 1.0.8.0 y te persiste el problema posiblemente fue porque borraste el GFW, NO es necesario eliminarlo ni mucho menos instalar un DLL xlive.dll o eliminar o cambiar el Paul.dll como la mayoría realiza esa solución vuelvo y reitero NO es necesario ni conveniente.

Para algunos que son amantes de los logros y que simplemente quieren aumentar sus puntos esa solución de eliminar cosas no será la más viable.

Posiblemente cuando iniciaste GTA IV te abra saltado la siguiente imagen:





Seguiste los pasos:



Y le diste en "Remove", si fue tu caso es por eso que cuando le das en jugar "NO sale nada" y es como si nunca hubieras iniciado el juego, pero la solución es descargarlo y volverlo a instalar, aquí te dejo el link:

Después que realicemos esos pasos debemos tener una cuenta en xbox live que sería lo mismo que GFWL y o prácticamente hotmail para ello vamos al siguiente link y comprobamos:

Iniciamos sesión si no podemos creamos la cuenta y listo, cuando ya estemos en la pag "xbox live" debemos tener ya un gamertag que sería lo mismo que el Nickname, este nos lo da aleatoriamente pero lo podemos cambiar a nuestro gusto.

De esta manera cuando iniciemos el juego pondremos la cuenta que creamos, después nos pedirá que ingresemos el código del juego que en steam se puede visualizar dando clic derecho en nuestra biblioteca y después en "Ver la clave del producto", lo anotamos en GFWL y después se nos pedida que se tendrá que actualizar nuestro perfil y descargar algunos archivos, en este paso posiblemente para completar la actualización tendrás que cerrar el juego cuando se finalice la descarga, GFWL NO te avisara así que debes estar pendiente.

Después de esto si deseas que en Rockstar Social Club te aparezca que tienes el juego de ellos requerirá que tengas una cuenta en la página de ellos y vincules tu cuenta GFWL:

Y para vincular debes ir configuración de tu cuenta de RGSC y después en donde dice "Perfil", en las pestañas que se visualizan damos en donde dice "Cuentas Vinculadas", este sería la ubicación después que inicies sesión:

NOTA: Recuerda que si deseas desbloquear logros deberás jugar las partidas multijugador en el modo de "Partidas Igualadas" estas son las únicas que cuentan.

Para personalizar tu personaje, cuando estés en el juego pon el teléfono después das en "Multijugador" después en "Modelo de jugador" y aquí lo personalizamos, cuando vas subiendo de nivel se te irán desbloqueando más artículos.

Pero ya se como solucionarlo @NWDERED07 , solo tenes que cambiar el idioma de windows, yo lo estaba usando en ingles, pero los juegos con sub español.
Aunque el problema persiste en lo personal para las personas como yo, que gustan de tener el Windows en Ingles.
Mala mia, tendre que cambiar todo el idioma de mi SO para jugar exclusivamente GTA 4 y al salir del juego volver a cambiarlo al Ingles

@4DDerzzo hace poco actualizaron el juego nuevamente, quizas corrigieron ese error.

Me refiero a que lo desinstales, una vez ya desinstalado seleccionas primero el idioma y despues lo dejas descargar, pero primero seleccionado el idioma que es. Ya que le estas cambiando el idioma solamente cuando esta descargado y no antes.

si, lo estuve siguiendo por que agregaban los logros en steam, lo reinstale desde steam pero siempre se me instala en ingles, voy a propiedades y cambio el idioma ejemplo: Italia - seguido descarga un pack imagino que para cambiar el idioma- entro al juego y sigue en ingles- > vuelvo a propiedades y busco español - descarga actualizaion de 30mb - vuelvo a abrir el juego y........ SIGUE EN INGLES....

xD no sé porque no respondí mensajes, Just an SCP Guard : revisa bien los pasos o capas sea un dll, SHAKA, debes dejar actualizar el xbox live para que pueda hacer el proceso, 4DDerzzo es raro, yo actualmente lo tengo instalado y he verificado por medio de steam el idioma, me aparecen todos, borra el juego y vuelve a instalarlo a ver si con eso funciona, ahora Rockstar Ha actualizado el juego y ya no requiere de GFWL para jugar, ahora los logros aparecen en steam, lo malo de esto, es que ya no sirve le multiplayer.
