How To Play Scout In MVM (Mann vs. Machine)

So, you want to play MVM? Well hopefully this guide teaches how to play as the annoyingly, tiny headed, arrogant little grimlin, known as the Scout.
THIS IS MY VERY FIRST GUIDE AND MOST LIKELY THE LAST pls dont hurt me ;-;

Scout's MVM abilities
Scout starts off with many unique abilities in MVM. Scout's main job is to earn money and be out in the front lines picking off enemies. Here are scouts abilities:

Weapons
Primary Weapons


The Scattergun isen't the most important out of your arsenal, though very reliable in tough situations when your seperated from your team or have to pick off the medic healing a giant.






Secondary Weapons


The Mad Milk is one of the most important weapons in your arsenal, if not the most. Mad Milk can help your team in alot of ways. Such as slowing down a speedy robo scout, and allowing your team to regenerate health off of milked enemies they shoot.










Melee Weapons

The Fan O'War is an important tool in your arsenal. It is used more as utility then in direct combat. The Fan O'War also has the ability to activate mini crits on enemies for your entire team to share, and can really help against giant robots. Use this weapon when giant robots are around and mark them for death. Tip: if there is a giant medic, always mark it first. The Fan can only mark one enemy at a time.


Alternate Scout Arsenal. (Suggested By Dispentryporter) Damage Scout.



Primary weapon

The Soda Popper is used for utility as well as damage output. The Soda Popper is cheaper to upgrade and deals even more damage per second, with the added bonus of increased mobility through Hype.







Secondary Weapon

The Crit-a-Cola can be combined with your soda popper when used to deal massive damage to giants, tanks, and tanky classes.











The Damage Scout Objective:

Use the Soda Popper and Crit-a-Cola and focus on shooting at the front lines where all the bots and money are, allowing them to both kill and collect money effectively.


Notable weapon Mentions (Suggested by MVP)

The Bonk! Atomic Punch weapon can be used if getting behind the robots is too difficult. EX: if the only way through is by tunnel, use the bonk if necessary. To get through the tunnel to collect that pesky money on the otherside! can also be used to save yourself if needed.







Upgrade Path For Scout
Every class in mvm has the ability to upgrade their weapons and their class unique abilities. The following upgrade are MY upgrade paths that i think are best suited for scout.

1. Mad Milk -35% speed on hit.
On the very first round, upgrade this ability first. giant scouts are very common and having this upgrade first will really help out the team.

2. Jump Height and Movement Speed.
On the first round you need to upgrade these 2 abilities. Upgrade jump height 3 times, and 2 times in movement speed. increasing these abilities will GREATLY help when your collecting money were it is hard to reach.

3. Resistances (Blast, Bullet, and Crit.).
Always upgrade these resistances after the previous upgrades are maxed. Which resistance depends on what the next wave is, EX: if there are alot of soldiers and demomen in the next wave, it would be best to upgrade blast resistance first.

4. Mad Milk Recharge Meter.
Now that youve finished your resistances, move on to your Mad Milk recharge ability and max it. This will help in later waves when many giants will be attacking at once.

5.Your Choice!
Now that you've upgraded the main path, now i suggest you start upgrading your scattergun. I personally upgrade reload speed and firing speed first.

If you don't want to waste tickets on other missions just play a mission and leave before the final round is over.
That way you can save your tickets for Two Cities.

i only play two cities for real. wasting tickets on any other tour (to me) is a bad decision

On Bigrock and a couple other maps, yeah. But I know most missions in Decoy and Coaltown you start out with 400 credits.
