How to Get the "Finished Job the Leprechaun" Achievement

This guide is for players who aim for 100% achievements, but are somehow stuck on this particular (and possibly last) achievement of the game.

Introduction

"Finished Job the Leprechaun" Achievement

Rescue Eri Leprechaun without using any continues.

Strategies

Basically, you need to preserve / maximize your Life (indicated by Job # on the top-left corner of your screen).

In order to do this, here are some strategies / tips that will help you along the way:

• When you see a tree, attack it, as it may spawns various items (including extra life, indicated by a green hat).
  
• When you see a flowery-shaped creature and/or a weird-ear creature, use it to attack enemies.
  
• Learn the timing / movement of your enemies.
  
• Enemies' fireball can be reflected back at them by attacking it at the right time.
  
• Pay attention to time. If you think you will run out of time, it's better to press Esc and restart that level.
  
• When you are about to die, quickly press Esc (if you can) and restart that level.
  
• During bonus stage, try to aim for 30+ to 40+ clovers so you get 3 or 4 extra life.

Extra Information

How many levels are there?

• There are two Worlds.
  
• Each world consists of around 20 levels before you face the boss.

How many bosses are there?

• There is one boss for each world (so there are two bosses in total).

How many bonus levels are there?

• There is only one bonus level in the entire game.
  
• You will get this bonus level around mid-way in the first world.

Conclusion

Generally, if you can keep your life around 8+ after beating the first boss, you should be okay for this achievement as long as you take into account the strategies / tips I have listed above.

As a quick benchmark, my personal best was 13 lives after beating the first boss.

After 8 attempts I passed the game using 3 continues on my last life. Actually f*** this game.

Oh yes, I do agree with you on that one. The devs should've put Continue Game first (above New Game) to minimize that risk. I was a victim of that. A few times... *cry*

Hahaha yes, once done for achievements, never look back. And sometimes it's better to leave the game for another day with a fresh mind if you start to feel a bit fatigue mentally / frustrated (just know that you're not the only one).

If it's any consolation, I decided to play this game coz after looking at AStats, I thought it would be one of those short 2-hours 100% game (oh boy... how wrong I was...)

But I have faith that since you are a pretty hardcore Achievement-Hunter, this will just be one of those hurdles that you will conquer eventually :)

I wonder if the devs even realize that since you have to exit from the game and start over that you run the risk of resetting your score by choosing new game since it's listed before continue. Really frustrated with this. This will be my 5th failing the game.

I do not enjoy this game. I get all the way through and die at level the 3rd to last level using up almost all my continues. This game needed way better playtesting before launch. Platforms are unpredictible, enemies can hit me through my attack, yet sometimes I can walk through an enemy. I hope this is it for achievements so once it's done it's dead and buried.

Unfortunately you have to exit the game to "restart". I do apologise if I was using the term rather loosely in my guide.

However, I do agree with you that exiting the game every now and then can get a bit annoying; but I hope you still enjoy the game
