Description
This mod changes the "Raider" ability.
I found that I almost never recruited raiders due to them losing all of their attack ability before the battle ended.

Normally, raiders begin combat with +3 attack, +3 discipline and +3 initiative. These values decrease by one each turn until they reach zero. This mod stops the decrease after 3 turns. So for example, the Orcish Raiders are purchased with 2 attack. They enter combat with 5 attack. Next turn 4 attack, then 3 attack, and finally the original 2 attack for the remainder of the battle.

I like that 1 point/ 2 turns idea. you just can't close with the enemy in 3 turns.

Might have been better if in the first place they'd just given raiders higher movement and initiative or something, i don't know

Compromise might be if they lost 1 point every 2 or 3 turns, and never fell to below 1 less than their starting stats. But don't know if that can be modded that way or not.

It does make sense if you ask me - raiders are meant to be units that are used to making a surprise attack then leaving quickly before the enemy can get organised and call up reinforcements. So they're not good at long battles. But I'm sure there'll be other people who disagree with me and agree with you - and they'll be glad you've made this mod.

It wasn't a bug. The raider ability was working as designed in vanilla. I just preferred this as an option.
