Description
Kansas Speedway is a 1.5 mile oval. It has 4 corners.
It is an original scratch built track for rFactor 2. (It was built originally for SCE - rFactor 1 - but never released)
The racing surface has been reworked, adding support for Realroad.
The AI are run pretty good. They have issues with boucing when entering and exiting pits. 100% AI strength recommended. They run good lap times.

This is a fill in track until a new 3PA track becomes available (Possibly up to 2 years)

Non-Steam download links are on the ISI forum:
https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/stockcar-tracks-list.53869/
Including Mega & Mediafire download options

There is also a setup for Kansas there to download. It is an early development setup, but reasonably good.

Configuration: Speedway II is enforced.

Thanks to American Stockcar for many infield objects.

v1.80 update
Staggered pitboxes up and down pit lane. Designed to give drivers more space like in real life.
AIW line improvement

v1.75 update
Grip changed to 1.0

v1.60 update
Pacecar release endpoint moved back to correct place.
New Pacecar Line (Centre of track)

v1.50 update
Disable cut track (as per Mountain Pk Speedway)
As fields were approaching 30, online racers were starting to get cut track penalties in error.
Pacecar release endpoint moved as close to finish line as possible. To avoid lap up/lap down penalties common in online races when yellows come out while drivers are in pit lane.
Adjusted Speed Limits to 2018 Specs

v1.40
Cut track FIX (Could get cut track on grass)
Concrete walls use correct material. (Will have correct drag when hitting it)
2018 Loading screen updated to 1.4
TDF Roughness added to bring track to life
Startman added
Missing objects in mirrors added
Yellow lights fixed
Yellow line pit entry and exit
Cones added to remind drivers to stay in or out of pit lane when entering

v1.20 updates:
Textures updated to DX11.
Grip changed back to 1.0
Use Goodyear recommended "minimum safe" tyre pressures for realistic grip.
Left front: 25psi, Right front: 54psi, Left rear: 25psi, Right rear: 50psi
Abiding by the recommended pressures I managed to run a best lap of around 28.8
2017 fastest qualifying times in the CUP race were 28.3

v1.00 is first release.

Leagues are recommended to run fixed setups using the recommended "minimum safe" pressures.
Setup changes. I have not spent much time on the setup.
I recommend for Leagues, move wedge from -5 to -2.5
Move weight all the way forward.
This should give a safe, but fast fixed setup.
See my 1.00 base setup in the setups link on the S397 forum link above

I was trying to sign up on the website but it does not want to accept my password or my answer to 2 plus 7 minus 47.

I haven't seen too many issues here. Feels real enough. Maybe a little too sticky but I haven't run long enough yet to really say for sure. I hope you are able to update with DX11. Great work. Thank you.
