Hey everyone! This mod right here is a private little project that has gone out of control. I have been working on it for a very long time... It was going to be only a small mod to provide some minor changes for me and my friends when playing custom campaigns. Custom campaigns such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill have inspired me to make this mod. Whenever I played those maps with my friends we felt that experience was lacking immersion and pace was too fast.

This mod will solve that issue while at the same time providing a much more fun & immersive combat against the infected. The infected are slow but should not be underestimated, not only are they able to take a bigger beating than you are used to but it is also very easy to get grabbed, ambushed, surrounded & overwhelmed by them.

It may seem that you have plenty of ammo at first, but you will quickly learn that every bullet counts and unless you have honed your head shot skills you will end up with no bullets much sooner than you may have expected.

All weapon have undergone countless hours of constant balancing & testing in order to create unique, fun, balanced & viable experience for each weapon of choice. No weapon is obsolete, no weapon is the same or direct upgrade to another. Think & plan carefully before choosing your weapon, you will find something to fit your play style & role in the team.

I hope this mod will provide you with fun & fresh experience, I will continue to work on updating / improving this mod regularly.


Recommendations
- Plays best on [All difficulties].
- Some changes still apply outside the mutation. Disabling addon in-game will fix this.
- Ensure your other addons do not conflict with Resident Dead to get intended experience.

Custom Radial Menus + Admin System support
Get the | Admin System | addon if you wish to have more control over your game/lobby as a host. This mod is essential IMO for anyone hosting L4D2 game. I have included a custom radial menu system for easy access to essential commands, these commands will help you in case you run into a problem of some sorts.

To access new radial menus you need to bind them to a key trough a console [¬ / ~] key.

Copy paste the following commands (each line is a seperate command) into your console:
bind C +mouse_menu ThirdPerson
bind V +mouse_menu ASA

You are free to change "C" & "V" to a keyboard key of your choice.

I love this mod really makes me feel like i'm playing RE. Wish there was a Redead{NOS}[Headhunt] or Redead{NOS}.

interesting. horde no special headhunter no bots seems plausible considering in the racoon department on side A in resident evil 2 i seem to be having a lack of common

The total horde size overall varies between 150 and 300.
On the screen there can be no more than 150 zombies visible and more spawn in to fill their place once you start killing untill horde roster is exhausted.
The finale horde lasts longer because it goes up to 450.

And yes, it is not a mode I can recommend to run on slower computers for obvious reasons ^^

seems fine for me with heavy amounts of hordes i spawned alot of common in horde mode and it seemed fine to me. i would love a modular version.

just played the new mode . its very very very comfortable to play. do hordes increase the more players? i think director does that im pretty sure. see i loved the super mega hordes alot but it always lagged, whats common infected limit on the horde mode?

I did not spend any time with mod page presentation so it will be a mess ^^ I will fix that up a little bit later, the mod is fully functional and should also work standalone if you want it to.

Seeing as there is somewhat increased interest in this mod lately I guess I will pick it back up and do additional work to streamline and improve the mod the best I can. I will probably also release a modular version for those who want to do without certain features or functions of the mod.
