[ONLINE] All The Ways To Change Your Character’s Appearances

In this guide we will show you multi ways to change your online character’s appearance and features. Include general in-game purchases and glitches that might answer all your questions about your character’s appearances.

Welcome

Welcome to the guide. We will lead you to right places to edit your character’s appearances in Grand Theft Auto Online. First, know what you need and jump straight to the category below. Our focuses are on the appearance full edit mode. However, all the methods we know will be mentioned.

General Purchases

There are stores all over San Andreas, you will be able to find following stores to get a little make ups for your character.

• Cloth Stores (Discount stores, Binco Clothing, SubUrban, Ponsybons, Ammu-Nations)
  
• Barber Shops
  
• Tattoo Parlors

Cloth Stores

You can always visit them at cloth icons on map, and all of the stores offer the same clothing items (unlike in Story Mode). Allows you to change your character’s dressings. There is also some special cloth items can be unlocked as you meet the requirements. Many clothing items have to unlock with RP(Reputation Points) Ranks.

Barber Shops

There is also some barber shops, and they don’t only offer haircuts (they do in Story Mode), but some face appearances as well, such as contacts, eye brows, lipsticks, face paints etc. Hairstyles is available in more colors in barber shops than character editor, and hair salons offers more alternative make ups too.

Tattoo Parlors

Obviously Tattoo Parlors offers tattoos, it can be painted all over your body parts, and can be removed. You can also have an option to use your crew emblem. Many tattoos have to be unlock by completing awards. (see your awards and rewards progress via Pause Menu > Stats > Awards)

Advanced Character Re-edit Glitch

Update Note: There is now a new 'official' way to do this, covered below.

So what else we got hun? I can tell that this is the main part of this (because I’m sure you already knew most of what I mentioned). This will be more complex but will allow you access almost every features of your character. Yet this glitch has not been patched. So this can be the best way to get your character edited when you really want, without official supports. We’ll show you the steps one by one.

Step 1

Load GTA V into Story Mode, or GTA Online (should also work)

Step 2

(In Story Mode) Go to Pause Menu, Switch to ‘Online’ Category, Select ‘Choose Character’. (In GTA Online) Go to Pause Menu, Switch to ‘Online’ Category, Select ‘Swap Character’

Step 3

Choose your second Character (must be unused, seem not able to add third character).

Step 4

Create him/her and start game with him/her. You can skip the Intro and Tutorials

Step 5

Rank up to 6 (do whatever you prefer - I recommend solo racing, and remember to deposit any cash you earn - bank account is shared between two characters, but cash that not deposited isn't)

Step 6

Leave GTA Online, by switch to story mode character or select ‘Leave GTA Online’ via Pause Menu.

Step 7

Go to GTA Online again (from Pause Menu>Online>Play GTA Online, then choose a session type you prefer, which wouldn’t matter now)

Step 8

When it just loaded, it will show a fullscreen alert that says ‘Would you like to change your character’s appearance? This might be your only chance’(I don’t remember so clearly but just get the meaning) Then DO NOT Press ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, but disable your internet connection. If you’re using Wi-Fi, disable it or enable Flight Mode. If you’re on cable connection, then plug the cable out. After a few seconds, it should lost connection and let you quit to Story Mode, if it’s still not signing offline, wait for couple more seconds or do whatever will work to disable your Internet connection.

Step 9

Press [HOME] key (or the key you set) to access Social Club, after you enable connection again, press ‘Retry Connection’

Step 10

After it sign in online again, like in Step 2, Go to Pause Menu, select Online, then select ‘Choose Character’, now , make sure choose the character that you want to change, select him/her and play.

Step 11

When it loads up, it should shows ‘Would you like to change your character’s appearance, this may be y’ass only chance blah blah blah’ choose ‘YES’ and now you can edit the character! After your finished, just accept and enter the game.

Step 12

Enjoy the fun! And if not satisfied, do it again, if you didn’t play or delete your second character, you can just switch to him/her and disconnect when ask you to Re-edit, then you know how to do. If you deleted him/her, then follow the steps and do all over again…
Note: Risk of get banned not measured. Personally anticipate no risk. And this glitch might be patched in future updates, please let use know if it has been fixed.

'The Easy Way Out'

You may now be able to change your characters' appearances by chosing 'Change appearance' under 'Style' section in interactive menu, for a price of GTA$100 000. Do whatever suits yourself.

When you got troubles with Rockstar games, you can always go to their official support page and search the knowledge base or create a support topic ask for help from Rockstar and Users.

If you want to sign a ticket to resolve your issues (include requests for appearance changes on your GTA Online characters) you can submit one right at Submit a Request[support.rockstargames.com]
Note: They should answer and MAY help you solve it.
Another Note: Just pay some In-game cash you can change appearances, if you don't have enough GTA$, then buy a shark card! That's what R* would say.

It still works just tried it out second Character up to LVL 6 wait for the change screen, disconnect Internet, log back in choose your Primary Character change it.
