Introduction
Drogoz is part of the Damage Dealing roll, with focus on AOE and high burst damage. For Overwatch players, Drogoz is Phara if her rocket launcher could act similar to the Shock Rifle in Unreal Tournament. He is a monster and you dont want to be on the other end of dragon punch.

PROS
  • Large AOE damge
  • Vertical Mobility
  • Shield Shredding
  • High Burst Ult

CONS
  • Only deals AOE damage
  • Jetpack is a little floaty and slow on horizontal movement
  • Ult can be hard to control
  • Decently long cooldowns
The Skills

Primary Attack: Rocket Launcher.
Listed stats
  • Damage ~ 950
  • Fire Rate ~ 0.85
Hidden from the Skills screen
  • Mag size ~ 6
  • Takes reduced self inflicted damage

Although has a small AOE, the Rocket Lancher is really good for covering the area with damage. While the AOE is small, the 950 damage is enough to keep weaker characters at bay. Its also great at contesting the point if Skye or other low HP champions are capturing. Also this is really good for both Cauterize (the anti-heal item) and Life Rip (Life steal item). 95 HP back every shot is a big deal and that is just level 1 Life Rip.

Its fall back comes from the rather small magazine size being 6, which is an issue we will talk about later. Also being a projectile weapon it is intended that you should fight at around mid range or spam around a corner. The father you are and the easier it is to see, the more likely people step out of its way. Lastly it may be hard to hit highly mobile or airborne targets with this attack.

First Ability: Fire Spit

Listed stats
  • Cooldown ~ 8 secs
  • ON CONTACT
  • Damage ~ 150
  • Deal 30% bonus damage vs that target for 4 secs
  • IF SHOT
  • Damage ~ 1000
  • LARGE AOE
  • Will knock opponets back from center
Hidden from Skills
  • Opponents can only be marked once
  • AOE damage falls off depending how far from the center they were.

This is most likely my personal favorite in his whole kit. It just a mass zoning tool or a steroid if you find a tank who is all alone. When used you fire this molten looking orb through the Air, if it hits an enemy it will do the ON CONTACT part of the stats but if you shoot it in the air it will do the IF SHOT part of the stats. This is where you need to be decent at leading your shots with Drogoz, while its on the larger side and more forgiving, a miss can result a waste of this cast. To know how much this thing does, remember most champions flot around 2k~3k HP and this can be how you take back an objective.

I find there are really two ways to fire this ability, Directly at your targets or above them. It seems obvious, Fire at them for the bonus damage steroid and above them if you want to deal the AOE as it will give you room for error. This is the ability you need to 'git gud' with as it can turn the tide of battle and unsespecting tanks who are blocking all the damage in front of them.

The downside here is leading the dam thing and your more mobile opponets may attempt to eat the projectile to prevent the AOE burst damage. A smart Evie may fly right into the spit just for this reason, then Ice block and run away. You also need to get used to how fast the projectile flies compared to your rockets.

Secound Ability: Salvo

Listed stats
  • Damage ~ 250 to 1500
  • Shield Damage ~ 500 to 3000
  • Cooldown ~ 20
  • Fires all shots in your weapon
Hidden from Skills
  • Deals less damage to self
  • .5 sec reload delay after last round
  • 20 sec cooldown no matter how many shots were fired

Here is the tank killer. That pesky Fernando or Barik invest points into their sheilds? Say no more. Note while Damage per shot is lower with this, you deal higher DPS in a burst with this ability. Also if your having issues landing the fire spit, just throw more rockets at the issue.

The downside of this I mentioned eariler with the primary weapon. You only fire how many rockets you have loaded, and no matter how many were fired off the cool down is the same. Also the low damage vs non sheilded targets can be an issue, even more so attempting to land all of them. But overall the cards make this skill even better, but we will get to that later.

Third Ability: Thrust

Listed Stats
  • PASSIVE
  • Jet Pack ~ Hold Jump to hover
  • ACTIVE
  • skyrocket upwards
  • 20% Damage buff for 4 secounds
Hidden from Skills
  • Booster is blocked by Crippled
  • Thrust does NOT consume the booster.

Something Something rains from above. Make your own Phara Ult in two easy steps. 1) Use Thrust 2) Use Salvo. But lets get back on topic. The booster is really good for keeping to the high grounds. Just watch out for snipers as you will be an easy target. Just as it reads on the tin, mobility.

Ultimate Ability: Dragon Punch

Listed Stats
  • Deals 100% of targets Max HP
Hidden from Skills
  • 2 Sec charge time
  • 6 Sec duration
  • Miss refunds 30%
  • Fly in any directy, at a reduced turn speed. Gravity does not effect you.

BEHOLD THE DRAGON'S FURY! This move is the best burst in the game. You also pass through sheilds cause its more like a movement ability, so night-night Fernando. Just be wary of abilities that add temp HP or damage reduction, as it could cause them to survive a blow (Rakus new ability comes to mind, needs testing). Remember this is a melee attack, so once contact is made you need to be ready to run.

The downsides of this ability are up there. The control of it is really awkward and needs a lot of practice to get used to. The effectiveness of this is more or less the targets at hand, no tanks means its not as effective. If enemies see it coming they could attempt to body block it or Evie could attempt to ice block it (needs testing). But the reward of killing a 7k+ HP fernando with an upgraded sheild deployed is worth the downsides.
The Cards

Salvo Cards
  • Bask ~ Heal on Salvo Hit. 15 per shot per rank
  • Decimate ~ Bonus vs Sheilds. 10% per rank
  • Hyper Boost ~ Thrust CD reduction. 0.1 secs per rocket per rank
  • Spitfire ~ Salvo CD reduction. 0.3 secs per shot per rank

Given the LONG cool down on Salvo, spitfire is the best card here. Hyper Boost comes up close behind it if you want more mobility. Bask is questionable, as you can just bie Life Rip for 10% life steal on your main attack, but sustain is sustain. Decimate is a card I do not recommend, as sheilds are not too bad to deal with due to salvo's base +100% damage vs them and you can buy an item in game if sheilds are really an issue.

Fire Spit Cards
  • Condescension ~ Reduce Thrust CD. 0.5s per champion hit per rank.
  • Follow the Scent ~ Movement Speed. 8% per rank
  • Lung Capacity ~ Faster Fire Spit speed. 50% per rank
  • Masterful ~ Reduce Fire Spit CD. 1s per hit per rank

Out of all of these, Masterful is the best one in the bunch. More uses on Fire Spit is nothing but a good thing as it hits like a truck. Condescension and Lung Capacity are situational but alright. Lung Capacity is the only one I see as bad. Getting used to hitting the Fire Spit in the first place is a challange enough, now lets make it harder and if you miss odds are you wont be able to fire a 2nd attempt in most cases.

Thrust Cards
  • Propel ~ Forward thrust movement. 25% per rank
  • Rain of Fire ~ Less booster consumption for 3 secs. 10% per rank
  • Survival ~ Resets Thrust if low HP. 15% threashold per rank
  • Thrill of the hunt ~ Thrust CD on Killing Blow. 25% per rank.

Survival would be my pick out of these, as it can be a quick escape. Rain of fire will work well with a salvo build due to something something rains from above. Propel helps out if you find the vertical thrust inst what you were looking for on activation, or want to throw off your opponents who are used to the default thrust. Lastly Thrill of the hunt is one I dont agree with, as a kill steal from an ally would make it worthless but it could work with a more flanking Drogoz build.

Armor and Weapon Cards
  • Fuel Tank ~ 10% booster capacity per rank
  • Hot Swap ~ bonus reload speed for 3 secs. 10% per rank
  • Reciprocate ~ Restore booster on kill or elimination. 20% per rank
  • WYRM jets ~ Flight speed. 8% per rank.

These round off builds more or less. Hot Swap is a god send to help combat the reload speed and will help fire off more salvos. Reciprocate + Fuel Tank will make a Thurst build never touch the ground. I personally think the jets are fast enough for me, so WYRM isn't useful imo.
Conclusion
Drogoz is great at hiting groups of targets and shreading tanks. Taking to the sky there is nothing that can stop the rain of explosions he presents. His only real threat is more mobile characters who can avoid his damage or enemy snipers. Stick to the walls and use cover and you will rack up damage consistantly.

@prio vidyo gam
Not really... I personally fell out of love of Paladins when it migrated to being more Overwatch like. I personally miss the older game mode where you were attacking enemy bases. At the top it does mention this was a CB33 guide so I hope people are not taking this as more up to date info.

Sorry to be rude but, do you ever plan on updating this guide? The thing's a bit outdated.

No problem. I think I should have gone and added some loadouts but again, due to how vastly the game changes each patch I rather present the information and allow you all to judge it.
