Unturned: How to use Russian/Washington material textures [Outdated but still working]
By susy_baka
Note: This guide was written long before the devkit map editor even existed meaning I don't cover the method used with that for changing the textures which allows you to change them manually one by one, for tutorials on that I suggest doing a quick google search, Cheers!

This guide will teach you how to get Russian or Washingtons materials & roads (Russia has that grey trail!) to your own map.
This is pretty simple so lets start!

Russian materials
So to get Russian materials into your map, you need to go in your Unturned game folder. So go into steam library, and in there right click Unturned, click properties go into local files, then click browse local files, then you are in your Unturned steam game folder. You should have folder named "Maps" click it and you will see all of your maps. There should be your map (that one where you want to put your textures) and all the Nelson's maps click the "Russia" its the russian map, Then you are going to see lot of stuff, just click the "Terrain" folder then you will see some pictures and text files you can see two "Materials" text files, you need to copy the Materials UNITY3D-file. It needs to be the Unity3D file! Then after that go back to the "Maps" folder and click your own map (that one where you want to put the russian textures) and you will see lot of files, same thing there click the "Terrain" folder and you will see that there are Materials UNITY3D-file like in the russia map. Just paste the russia map's Materials UNITY3D-file in there, and replace the old Materials, wich was there already. And you will have russian materials in your map. This same method works with te details you know that Russian map has the dead grass and orange grass, just do the same thing but with the Details UNITY3D-file. (The details are in same "Terrain" folder)
Washingtons materials
This is going to be short, just do same thing with the "Washington" named folder, what you did with te "Russia" named folder, into your map.
Roads
So you want that cool grey trail to your map? Just do this: Completely same thing what you did with the materials, but go into "Enivorment" folder not into the "Terrain" folder. And copy the Roads UNITY3D-file and paste it into your map's "Enivorment" folder and replace the old one. and you will have the road in your map.
Thanks!

RushOnPC™ have you tried to Change the materials density and overgrown values that might solve the problem... but if not then I don't know how to Fix that.

Same here penguin. I really wanted all the Russian materials but I also wanted the default sand and dirt rather than the weird rocky sand and the more gray pastey kind of dirt.

For that you might need to get Unity and build your own materials unity 3d file so it might be complicated... sry and i don't know how to. (yet)

Hi! Thanks for the guide. I was wondering if it's possible to somehow only import 1 material into your map instead of all of them. Let's say I only wanted the autumn grass into my map but not the other Russian materials.
