it's a groin protector. it mainly protects the groin from shrapnel. Women can wear them sure, but since men are naturally more protective of their exposed junk than women are of their inner junk, more men typically choose to wear the groin protector on their plate carrier.

personaly, it looks nice. and also, why the hell is there a dick guard. (and before you say its not for that, notice that not a single woman has it.) Does it surve like a cup in fencing?

Is more or less what Death's Hound said. They all got that plate, but for some reason, in Bandit's design it looked more protuberant than in Jager's or Blitz's.

About the Anime thing, it's just my style. It's kind of a mix of flavors.
