CHARACTER SYSTEM
Combination System
Combination
Since their souls are intertwined via a contract, they have a combination system. Being a duo character with a tag-team playstyle, Lu and Ciel do not share mana and also have a special system known as Combination. This ultimately results in the character having 600 MP to share amongst the two. To compensate for this, Lu/Ciel's skills don't do very high damage, which encourages you to switch out between the two frequently.

When either Lu or Ciel is tagged out, the inactive character will recover 6 MP per second (1.5 MP in PvP). The amount of mana the other character has can be seen in the third blue gauge located below the primary MP bar.

Combination Gauge
This resource is used exclusively for Combination Skills. Combination Skills cost no mana, but can only be used when the Combination Gauge is ready. Such skills are ready for use when they recieve a 'glow' around their icon after the gauage is full.

The Combination Gauge has room for a total of 10 Combination Points. Combination Points are gained when the player switches through a normal combo attack or a Switch Skill. Currently the only way to use up your combination gauge is through combination skills,
which uses up everything in one go. However Diabla/Demonio can use the gauge for lengthening their combos and lengthening the skill "Nightmare". (They are the only class who can use CP for such use making them a unique class from the other two)

The switching attack must connect otherwise no point is obtained. There is a chance to recieve either 1 or 2 combination points in total after a single connection (This applies to combos only, as skills have a specific value of CP gained after using it.)

Specialization

Specialization A: Gain X amount of MP depending on total CP gained. (Max: 10MP per CP)

Specialization B: Increased damage of skills using Combination points by x%. (Max: 40%)

Special Key

Like Aisha's 'Memorize' Lu/Ciel has a special key! (also located in the same area as Memorize would be.) This key allows you to switch into the inactive character with no cost, but no gain either. Grants super armor while switching. Switching characters via any method, V key, skills, combos will all trigger this cooldown of 3 seconds where you will be unable to switch characters via this V key. This key can be customized for your needs amongst the keyboard.

Reccomended Build


  • Buffs are always good, especially in early game
  • NS does slightly more damage than SI. There are better combination skills so damage is key
  • TS covers good ground and is also an option for Demonio. Goes to show the use of this skill.
  • Stomp is the standard switch skill for Lu and does superb damage for it's cost
  • Triple Shot is the standard switch in skill for Ciel
  • Hunting Prey is good for grouping MOBs (when using Lu)
  • The rest are fillers

Background
One day while in Elder, assassins from the demon realm came after Lu and Ciel. In a moment, Lu felt a familiar underworld presence that she knew well and stopped to look behind Ciel. Her body reacted quickly, lunging toward towards him. The assassin's spear pierced her body. In the moments before her death, Lu's body began to twitch. A huge power began to awaken within her. Lu's body healed quickly, engulfing the surrounding area in an explosion. Lu had returned to her old self. In a single gesture, the demon assassins that surrounded them turned into dust.
"Look carefully. This is power held only by true demonic royalty!"
Despite having the body of a child, Lu's magic became stronger. Lu smiled satisfactorily. It seemed that her throne was one step away.


Diabla/Ciel: 1st Job Advancment
1. Clear 2-1 on Normal (☆) or higher once.
2. Collect a drop from Awakened Banthus in 2-2 on Normal (☆) or higher.
3. Speak to Hoffman in Elder.
4. Clear 2-4 on Very Hard mode (☆☆☆).

Reccomended Builds
PvE


  • The passive is a filler with benefits. Although not at it's true potential itstill has it's uses
  • Hunting Prey is good for grouping MOB's when using Lu
  • TS is another switch in skill for Ciel. Only to be used when CD's are still active on other skills
  • AoE is your core skill in the 1st Job advancment
  • Bloodlust provides excellent buff effects, whilst also dishing reasonable damage upon activation
  • LC is used for field clearing along with Flick Shot and Nightmare
  • The Rest are fillers
PvP


  • Stomp is a good skill for approaching the enemy whilst dealing high damage
  • TS is used as a switch in skill for Ciel
  • PR is excellent for punishing. Just place the shadow in a good location!
  • Nightmare is your 1st method on how to use your CP. Charge them up to deal more damage
  • NS is your 2nd option on how to use your CP. It does great damage and traps the enemy
  • Hunting Prey is a good skill to approach the enemy when using Lu
  • Bloodlust is mainly used for the buffs it provides when in PvP. But hitting with it isn't a bad idea
〖DIABLA〗: Altar Of Evil
ALTAR OF EVIL
[Special Active: Bravery] Force the latent power inside to go mad while pushing the synchronization with Ciel to its extreme, returning to the original strength and body of her original days.
During Madness state, you gain Super Armor status and new commands and skills, replacing the existing commands and skills and disabling the ability to mana break.

Generates two spheres of energy that stun enemies and fire a third forward that drags enemies with it, before rushing forward and enveloping yourself in demonic energy, knocking enemies away.

Generate 3 soul spears out of pure darkness that home in on nearby enemies and explode, before firing an energy sphere forward that drags enemies with it. Finish by charging up 3 to 8 soul spears that deal more damage than the first set, and will pierce enemies once.

- Grab hold of the nearest enemy to deal continuous damage.
- Decreases the move/jump speed of the held enemy.
- Releases the held enemy if it goes out of range.
- Restores 1% MP per second while holding an enemy.

AoE Tips & Hints
- As you cannot use any other skills or attacks while in Madness state, it is best to use certain buff skills before activating Altar of Evil.

- The third Z during her combo will instead hit 2 + 4 times should you not press the 4th Z

- Holding X works much like Mega Electron Ball and can be charged and held while doing other things. However, casting a skill or entering a loading screen will cancel the attack.
The spears are capable of homing back in on the same target after piercing, for a maximum of 6~16 explosion (117%) hits on one target.

- The HP drain on DT does work for all 5 seconds however, draining 15% of your attack as HP.

- The first hit of Demonic Energy Release will already apply the Demonic Energy Explosion debuff, causing the 3 remaining hits to always do 20% more damage.

- Entering and exiting Madness only to cast this skill can prove helpful in increasing the damage output of your regular skills.

- DP's horizontal range is deceptively short, visually looking similar to certain hyper actives, but only going about as far as a regular Giga Stream and Eschaton do.

Background
Since that day, Lu's power gradually began to increase exponentially. Lu's newfound power had exerted far more power on Ciel and the contract than it had in the past. During the first few days, Ciel had experienced enhanced fighting power thanks to it. However, as the battles progressed, it became a struggle to handle. Due to the constraints of his body, which was half-Ciel and half-demon, he started undergoing even more changes like Lu has. Ciel sprouted a horn, his hair grew longer and was bleached white.
While he gained enhanced physical abilities, one of the changes that happened to Ciel was that he slowly began to lose his human feelings. Ciel was the restraint to Lu, in order to prevent her from going mad with the sudden amplified magic. However, Ciel eventually succumbs to the massive demonic power that constantly flowed into him.

1. Clear Transporting Tunnels B4-1 once.
2. Defeat King Nasod 8 times in 4-6.
3. Clear Shrine of Dedication Entrance 6 times.

The demonic energy resonates with your body, strengthening your combative tendencies.
Increases your additional damage and damage reduction while enemies are nearby, and your move/jump speed when far away.

[Passive] Madness - Destroy
During madness state, the resonance with the demonic energy is taken to its maximum, causing you to be overcome with rage.
The critical stat is permanently increased, and the natural energy flow of madness status is strengthened, decreasing madness skill cooldown time whenever you eliminate an enemy, and the time all debuffs last.

Suspend all accumulated strength to enter madness and tear space apart with demonic energy, gathering and destroying enemies.

Reccomended Builds
PvE



  • GoH is good for lowering MOB's defenses and is exceptional in boss fights
  • Desperado is strong against grouped MOBs. Use it this way for the full potential
  • Hunting Pray is used for grouping and also helps to set up for Desperado
  • Flick Shot is used for field clearing along with LC and Nightmare

  • Stomp is great for capturing, especially with the attribute

Tips & Hints
- Strangely, cancelling the transformation causes 2 hits to occur for the Demonic Energy Explosion, as opposed to 1 for activating it, unlike Altar of Evil which hits once both times.

- As you cannot use any other skills or attacks while in Madness state, it is best to use certain buff skills before activating Transcendence.
While the X.png combo does a lot of damage, it takes an extremely long time (10 seconds if completed) to do said damage, making it quite bad for your overall damage output.

- When using SF, the MP burn/recovery does not take into account the initial collision hit.

- SC deals another hit for every slash when it warps to another enemy, so when warping around the map, the skill will technically deal 930% per teleport, making it rather effective for clearing.

- While SC does not deal this extra hit when warping in place, every enemy in range will still be hit by the slash, allowing you to group enemies together and deal the full skill damage to each of them.
GEAR / ELEMENTS / STATS
Gear
(Everything I talk about in this section is the grendized/maximized/4D/legendary versions.)

Bethma Set: Dragonic-Force

If you want to go for PvP, this set is decent. Not much to say,Basically with this set, you go full rage mode whenever you awaken. Just try to use one-bead awakenings to maximize the potential of this set. For PvE, I would not recommend this unless you for some reason you are able to time each
awakening bead to last for 30 seconds and be able to charge exactly one bead for every bead that you consume.

Altera Set: Alterasia Type-R

Decent set for both PvP and PvE. Well, if you go for this set, you are restricted to using a single element and not dual element so it kinda sucks for that. You can however gain some extra MP when attacking, might not seem like much, but trust me, it can make a difference. The Mutated Alterasia Accelerated Reaction is also extremely potent. You basically become sanic and charge MP like crazy too.

Velder Set: Glitter Berserker

It's great for PvE and PvP both. This set used to be pretty underrated but now it seems like more and more people are moving over from Dragonic-Force to Glitter Berserker. This set heavily benefits multi-hit characters. With this set you can also just socket to 75% crit as Giant Brew buff takes care of the 25% for you. To note, the character size increase acts like the Giant Elixir and also makes your attacks be larger. Thunder and Flame Flask just gives you some extra damage and sweetens this SD set. The Joaquin's Hallucination's Magic Shield is not so useful though appart from it being an Oriax for Demonio! In PvP, NA players love to socket add dmg so they'll still chew through your HP (unlike KR players who socket crit). You mostly want this set for it's offensive procs really.

Sander Set: Sand Blast

The once "god-tier" set for PvP is now nerfed harshly. The main catch to this set is Seal Restraint which is purely PvP in nature. In PvE it's useless and troublesome since sealing mobs means you can't group them together. Sylph's Aura is nice to have due to the extra speeds, Blast just gives some extra damage and some little flinching. Still decent for PvP, but if you want a hybrid set, don't consider this set.

Henir Set: 4th Dimension

This set is seriously strong. BUT, the amount of grinding to get this is extremely insane.
If you have the time and willpower to get this, get it, otherwise, This is totally out of the question. Consider this set those suited for true Demonio players at it is a test of endurance!

Perkisas: Dual Weapon of Greed

This weapon has the highest base damage, more than even 4D weapon. Summoning Perkisas is also super cool and does decent damage but I use it mainly for just the high base damage. This is also quite hard to craft so it is again another test of endurance.

PvE

You want to aim for high crit and high maximize and decent MP gain stats
(covered by Mana Necklace) and decent awakening charge and time (lowest priority).

PvP

You want to aim for at least 20% in all 3 speeds (highest priority), high crit
and high maximize and decent MP gain stats (covered by Mana Necklace). You can
get some red dmg/HP too (HP is better but tanking is still lowest priority)

Elements

Water (Freezing)
This is great... if everyone has 0 water resistance. However, no one likes getting slowed down. So, people love to stack against water resistance to prevent that from happening. Water is one of the most lethal elements to have on your weapon but it's otherwise not so useful. It's great in PvE though!
Wind (Piercing)
A decent pick for DL as it has a high proc rate of 15% at level 3. It can really make your hits pack quite a punch. More damage is always good. Decreasing KD doesn't do much in PvE but
damage is what you really want out of the Wind element.
Dark (Plague)
A decent pick like water but suffers from the same problem. That is, simply because this two elements are the most resisted against. Pretty decent, gives you endless supply of MP. Like literally. But with magic necklace, this isn't that great.

Titles

Oath Of Ruin
Effects: Decreases crit rate to 0. 11% chance to proc Destruction buff
(100% critical rate, critical damage now deals 200% damage), lasts for 8 seconds.

How to discover: Clear 9-6 Very Hard
How to obtain: Clear 9-6 Very Hard 1000 times
Difficulty/Grindyness: Easy/Extremely grindy (1000 dungeons)

Notes: Great title but you have to grind A LOT. Completely frees up all your critical sockets.

Notes: Easily countered with water resistance but still good. Primarily a PvP title.

Notes: Great title even for end-game and easy to obtain.
