How to play against bots in multiplayer

This is a guide telling you how to install the 3rd party bot mod with which you can play in multiplayer.

What you need before installing.

One of the most poplular call of duty bot mod is the PEZbot with modern warfare zombie mods as well. Click here Download the mod to get it.

Installation

Unpack the zip file you download with any applications can do this and you will get the mp_PeZBOTWAW fold with the following contents. Check out the picture.


So here is the point. What you need to do now is put this folder in the specified location but it's hidden by default. That is, you need to change the folder settings to show hidden files. The settings can be different depending on your OS. If you're not sure how to do this, google it.


Navigate to this directory (default):

"C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Activision\CODWaW"

You should see a folder called "Mods". If it doesn't exist, create one. Copy and Paste the entire mp_PeZBOTWAW folder folder here in the Mods folder.

Right click on Call of Duty: World at War in your library and select Properties > Set Launch Options

Copy and Paste this line in the Launch Options.

+set fs_game "mods/mp_PeZBOTWAW" +exec pezbot.cfg

Now the installation is complete!

How to add bots in multiplayer

While in multuplayer, type this line in the console.(If you can't access to the console, enable it first in the game options)

/svr_pezbots #

Replace the # with any numbers you want.

Installation: Pez bots; install in mods folder and run multiplayer, mods and run
Botwarefare has 2 install programs, Plutonium or IW4 (depending on MW game) to run MP; second program is botwarfare itself.

Controls, Pez bots is console command driven, Botwarfare uses a GUI. Botwarfare has more bot options / actions

Pezbots needs console command to run, and then has to be set up for each game, and sometimes you have to exit and start a new game for them to populate + auto adds bots until player slots are full. Botwarfare needs to be set up for initial game, and you have to manually add bots (by singles or multiples) but auto populates subsequent games.

Bots actions. Pezbots skill is aimbot or aimbot + misses (console command can set skill), staggered movement / stacks, comes from one direction. Botwarfare has more options, movement smoother, and takes more paths, but default has various skill levels / can set skill ranges. Pez no melee but skilled botware does.

I got the mod to work, but the bots only use their knives and their movement is pretty buggy. Any fixes?

Do not use pezbot
There is a better bot mod called botwarfare. it also works for COD4 and MW2 (require IW4X)
