I had a few problems when I wanted to upload a mod I made with PFM to steam so this is a quick run through of what I did.

I had made the mod and it appeared in mod manager when I started shogun2, but I didn't know what to do next but It turns out It's simple. I just needed to add a .jpg image named the same as the mod to the Shogun 2 data file then double clik your mod when you start Shogun 2 in mod manager.

Quick guide you can work out details later.

1/ Take a in game screen shot in steam (press F12)
2/ Exit game and clik View in Steam main page at the top left, scroll down and clik screenshots, then clik Show on disk and it will take you to where It's stored on your pc.
3/ Re-name this screen shot - rename it to exactly what your mod is called. Mine was Statsmod_Tenka_Fubu.pack so I named it Statsmod_Tenka_Fubu and it should look like this when saved - Statsmod_Tenka_Fubu.jpg NEEDS to be .jpg *NOTE*
4/ Copy and paste this screen shot to the Shogun 2 data folder where your mod is. Mine is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War SHOGUN 2\data
5/ Start Shogun 2 and when the mod manager box appears double right clik on your mod add a description etc but it can be edited later.
6/ Once its uploaded you can go to your content under your user name in steam and edit away.

This worked for me hope it helps you.

*NOTE*
"Mileo Inc."
They changed it from how it used to need a .jpg for the icon, to NOW it needs to be a .png.

Figured it out. They changed it from how it used to need a .jpg for the icon, to NOW it needs to be a .png.
No idea why they changed it, but it's literally that simple.
Good luck to you all!

Hi falx, I had the same problems 7/8 years ago, not seeing any guides I posted this after I worked out what worked back then with total war shogun. I'm sure by now there will be YouTube videos explaining how to do this sort of thing, good luck and maybe post your findings for the rest of us.

I did everything according to the instructions. I created a 20 mb mod (localization mod) .Then I created a download picture in .jpg format with a name like the mod file, no spaces in the name. I put it all in / data .
After that I clicked the "publish" button in the mod launcher and selected the theme "UI". Then accepted the agreement and the upload process started. Loading as a spinning cursor on stopped and turned always into an endless ..... Help advice on what to do to get the mod to load in Steam. Maybe take any other necessary settings and actions ?

So I put in the image into the data folders, with the exact name, jpg, 256x256 and all but the mod launcher doesn't recognize it. Anyone know a workaround?
