10m blocks in my pack, 10m blocks to go! Take one out, pass it around, might kill myself before I get this 'chevo!

Introduction

Hello all!

By now you are probably exasperated with the hidden achievement of "Destroyer of Worlds"

That's where I come in. Hopefully this guide works out for you all! I will post when I finally get this achievement myself since... well you'll see below.

I'm sure the suspense is killing you.
HOW DO I BECOME THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS?!

It's easy but tedious.

• Step 1: Empty your pack. Clear that bad boy (or girl) out.
  
  
• Step 2: Find a planet thats barren. It'll make it easiser for the next step.
  
  
• Step 3: Harvest a pack of blocks. 40 slots of 1000. Dont skimp because it will throw off your numbers on the next couple of steps.
  
  
• Step 4: Go somewhere safe and relatively flat (this is for convenience).
  
  
• Step 5: Drop your pack. Unload that bad boy (or girl) on the world. Let it go.
  
  
• Step 6: Walk back and pick up everything you just dropped. Be one with the hoarder mentality.
  
  
• Step 7: Repeat steps five and six 250 times. 250 times?!?! Yes. 10,000,000 / 40,000 = 250
  
  
• Step 8: Give yourself a break from the game. That was a hell of an achievement!

Other Options

• If you don't want to dig for blocks to fill your pack:

/admin
/spawnitem sand 1000
Do this 40 times and you'll have a full pack

• If you dont want to "cheat" (I use that term loosely for the ideas expressed in the guide):

Well you are on your own. Do it the old fashion way and dig until your eyes bleed. Have fun.

Postscript

Now I know I haven't gotten this achievement yet, but I've been assured by other users that the achievement is based on blocks you pick up, not blocks you destroy (weird since the title is destroyer, but oh well!)

I will update you all when I have made it to the achievement. So far I'm 480,000 blocks in this 10,000,000 nightmare. I did just start a few hours ago and have been playing for many days prior to this push for the achievement.

If i remember corectly i personaly done first by doing planet core flor (forward blocks only) and then just making whole planet plain (exclude first entrance shaft) by digging between regular BG and first-undeground layer bg horizontal-planet-looping shaft WITH bg tiles removing after i done loop remowing forwart one, then i gone with rough tops by going from highs to bottoms prefering going from top helps don't left any lone blocks (remobe as forwart as bg one together / within you reach range) and then just do 2-collums while digging down remairing main planet contend, one shaft you use as go-down elevator from wich you remoe only forward blocks and then you whipe BG blocks from previous dive

Also there is fish pickaxe or something like it wich can make you job A WAY EASIER (but you will had to spawn it with console wich is sorta cheating, howewer it don't disables achivments... at least it wasn't)

So... why get this achievement? It's not a challenge, it doesn't mean you're good at the game, and it's not fun. Maybe there might be satisfaction in knowing that you've stuck with the game long enough to pick up that many blocks (I don't know), but following advice like this means that you won't get that either. Plus, since people are using auto-clickers to get this, there's no bragging rights to be had either. I don't get it.

A stack size increase mod and the bulldozer mod can make getting the achivement quite easy.

a faster method that you can do is: Start new game in Survival Mode, Stack upto 40,000 blocks. Then proceed to do /suicide at the spawn point of your ship. (repeat process till achievement pops up) Took me solid 10 mins to get achievement.

I remember when Patman released a mod that added a "God Pickaxe" that functioned as the fishaxe but had ludicrous speed and mining power (as well as radius)...

@mello Yes, I figured out the same thing, and indeed the main issue with it was the lack of inventory deposit to containers (e.g. like the one in Terraria). I didn't use any mod though, instead I used a programmable autoclicker to shift+leftclick all 40 stacks of blocks to the container, then click on "Take all" 249 times while being afk.
