Introduction
It's really easy, just follow the video or the written instructions bellow :)
Instructions
1. Connect your controller via USB and let Windows install its default drivers. Leave the controller plugged in during the entire installation process!
2. Download the latest release of the ScpToolkit Setup[github.com] .
3. Run the Setup and follow it's instructions.
4. Wait for the Setup to finish.
5. After installing, run the Driver Installer.
6. When running the Driver Installer, choose the Playstation controller you would like to use with ScpToolkit (Dualshock 3 for: PS1, PS2 and PS3 controllers, and Dualshock 4 for: PS4 controllers).
7. Click install, if it fails to install click the force install option common for Windows Vista users.
8. You're done! Have fun :p

For windows 10 and 11, download and install the successor of SCP Toolkit, which is DsHidMini (https://docs.nefarius.at/projects/DsHidMini/How-to-Install/) instead.

@Thomas, sadly through this method no, there are some limitations with it on the driver side, ig you want to map all inputs without any issues I would suggest an input mapper, there are various open source options that for your use case will work great

Hi, just installed it for a PS1 controller and it works like a charm.
I tried to play GTA V and it recognizes almost all buttons.
Is there a way to map some of them?
