Confused on how you are supposed to update your mod without accidentally creating a new one on the workshop? Look here.

Updating Your Mod on the Workshop
Just saw some people were confused by this, so I made a little guide.
  • Open the Starbound Mod Uploader Tool.

  • Locate your mod directory (the folder with your .modinfo inside of it). Make sure it is the same folder you used when initially uploading your mod. If your folder has "_metadata" and "_previewimage" then you are set.

  • If all the data is filled in for you (mainly look for "Mod ID" in the bottom left, if there is something there then that means you picked the right directory). If you are ready to update your pack, then just hit upload!

  • Optional: On your mod page, go to the changes tab to add a changelog for your update.

Thats because Steam just sees it as you playing Starbound and only allows one of it open at a time for some reason.

Yeah, I forgot how it worked. I had to go to my Steam Library, then right click on Starbound, then choose "Launch Mod Uploader Tool" from the menu of options. Though, this does not seem to work if Starbound is running in the background. For me, anyway, I had to shut it down, first.

It's simpler than you realize, open Starbound through Steam and select "Launch Mod Uploader Tool"

ARGH! Like all the other Workshop modding guides I've found, this glosses over the very important first step: How to open the Starbound Mod Uploader Tool. Nothing I try will work! Has version 1.0+ (1.3?) changed how this is done? Does it matter whether one's OS is 32-bit or 64-bit?

I click on the [*] mods menu from the Starbound main menu, but there is no option to upload a mod. Likewise, I tried clicking the "mod_uploader.exe" file in /Starbound/win64/;, but it just gives me an error message "Could not initialize Steam API", even if I have Starbound running in the background...
