Description
Prop version

The MCI D4500 is a Diesel Highway Coach operated by Metrolinx for GO Transit. This bus is quite common in Toronto and the GTA. It commutes great distances between major transit hubs. This bus is generally equipped with bicycle racks to carry two bikes, however we felt it looked better without them in-game.

A press release in April of 2016 calculated that there were 383 single-level busses in GO’s fleet. In 2013 many of GO’s buses including their trains received a new facelift. They now have a lighter apple green as described by one reporter. This design has been emulated in our other GO Transit assets, and its colour remains unaffected by such mods as the IPT - Improved Public Transport 3.8.8.

So for those who enjoy symmetry in designs for their cities; subscribe to the entire collection as all buses and trains follow the same design pattern.

Credit for conception and commission goes to BrowncoatTrekky. Credit goes to DanDeKalb for creation and implementation for Cities Skylines. Please reference DanDeKalb if further adaptations are to be made.

@TowerControl It is something which was discussed, but no set date for release as yet. We'll keep you posted, but should be sooner than later.
@Glorious Duck & @The Canuck, as a fellow Canadian, many thanks for the positive feedback.

As a Torontonian, this looks pretty spot-on to me. Great work.

I didn't think I'd ever see a D Model coach. Nicely done!!

@TowerControl. I personally haven't noticed an issue there but will confer with DanDeKalb.

Awesome! How 'bout that hitbox problem? I feel like I'm the only one having that problem since nobody else is mentioning it.

@TowerControl It is definetly most popular in North America. Any research collected before this project did not suggest it is used outside of NA. So, @(AEF) Vindicator doubtful a left side door version would be in the works any time soon, but stayed tuned... it is an awesome bus so you never know. If anything, the black mapping will be removed and the GO symbol for change up in colours. However no set date on that either. Sorry.

Isn't this bus only sold in America and Canada?

Any chance of a Left side door version?
