Age of Ragnar - Jutes

Beskrivelse
What this does?
Well this is just a reskin for the Jutes.

Why did I do it?
Forefathers vanilla are high medieval vikings (1000 around) when they should be dark medieval.

Historical Background
For those who don't know, scandinavia didnt held formal armies as such, just as feudal japan, the viking raiders were normal people who tend the farm, hunt or fish for name a few practices. They harvested in spring, raid in summer and in winter they sheltered in their houses.

Second thing in consideration, they were bad metalcrafters, they didn't had much iron or steel to spare, therefore they tried to use the less amount of it in tools, weapons or armours. Thus making swords, chain mails and helmets expensive, 1 sword was worthy 1 cow, with the difference the cow will make you survive the winter.

What does this mod has?
1.- New faction icon
2.- New color for the faction, was blue now is orange
3.- New shield patterns made by me
4.- New faction leader re-skin
5.- New units re-skin
6.- Tiers and general visual progress
Tier I "naked" (this resembles the start of the dark ages)
Tier II Clothes and leather (this resembles the common scandinavian medieval outfit)
Tier III Leather and "jamberson" (this resembles the high class, the prepared warriors)
7.- Thrall spears, spearmen and skirmishers can be created by jutes

If you notice something like, missing stuff, cloth collision or anything tell me.

I get that you tried to do somewhat historically accurate reskin but heavy and very heavy infantry wearing no protection but leather and fur is a little bit too much.
Nice shields tho.

@VengefulJan, well before anything thanks for taking the time to make such complete review of it, I will see each of the issues to improve, Im planing a v.2 of the 3 mods, the troble with the thralls is the skin though, germanic and nordic are much a like and hairstyles doesnt help, but I ll take every point to improve.

Also Im planing into changing jute and dane leader outfit, dane and geat leader animations, teak more hairstyles, add more shield patterns and add saxons and angles.

If you see more things either bugs or things that can be improved tell me.

Finally with Bugs

Some of the leaders of units, standard bearers, and entire Viking Captain unit are missing the boss on the center of their shields.

Also, I have considered the fact that the units I have mentioned you have not gotten around too yet, so if this is the case, I am deeply sorry for my assumptions and mean no rush.

This is an amazing mod and will very much be interested to see what you provide in future updates.

I can't really see a difference between the Spear Levy and the Nordic Spears. I don't really care that much about this one, but the Nordic Spears still look like a Levy and that can be confusing as to why they're raiding without that much gear, at least give them some more helmets at least.

Next part is about unit variety and apperance.

Your Thralls (particularly the Thrall Spears) don't look like what their name implies, which is that they're slaves from other lands (i.e. Britan, Russia, etc.).They all look like big burly men who are Norsemen. Really they should be men and women from Asia, Italy, Russia, France, Britan, etc. to really give the idea that they are a hodge-podge collection of slaves forced to fight.

I can't tell the difference between Elite Nordic Spearmen and Nordic Spear Masters, the latter is a tier 3 unit, but looks just like a tier 2. Maybe be something to better distiguish them from the Tier 2 unit like more helmets and/or chainmail, or maybe tone down the Elite Nordic Spearmen in their gear to have a little less stuff.

So firstly, I love the recolors, they're a breath of fresh air. I got to say though, that IT IS pretty hard for me to tell the difference between the Jutes and the Geats. Grey/Yellow and DarkBlue/Yellow really look the same. I'd suggest recoloring one of those factions, probably with Green added to the mix.

Yo, looking through your mod, and I have some critiques that I think will help improve the 3 mods.

Before any of that, thank you so much for giving the round shield to all the viking units I don't know where this "long shield" bs came from. You are very true to the aesthetic, and the Lagertha shield was a great touch, would very much welcome more.
