The Offical Metal Skin Guide

The Official Metallic Skin guide is a complete list of all the metallic skins in the game, ranging from the Cartel series to the plain stainless USP-S. It includes not only pricing but also pictures, descriptions, and even author notes on the skins.

Introduction

With the popularity of colorful and loud skins, many ask if buying semi-normal skins is even worth it. However, this user along with many others appreciates the full value of these classy and artistic skins. Each skin will be listed with a price, description, and will be given a “tier ranking”. Going along with the Metal theme each skin will be assigned to either Gold, Silver, or Bronze. Gold will be given to skins that deserve your utmost attention, most often for their superior artistic value. Silver will be given to skins that offer either great “bang for your buck”, or have pleasing artistic value. Bronze will be given to skins that fit the category of metallic but aren’t very pleasing or worthwhile. Obviously, the gold skins are the most recommend however always stick to skins that fit your budget.

USP-S

Lead Conduit
The Lead Conduit probably has one of the nicest suppressors in the game, and if you can forgive the odd flat earth color it's quite the looker. The Top half is a nice gun metal that’s very low profile while the bottom has a flat earth color with a black palm. Although not visual in the picture the gun also has some amazing red night sights. The Pricing is very fair with affordable StatTrak options.
It earns a spot on the Gold Tier.

Stainless
Simplicity is beautiful, and this skin is as simple as metal skins come. The suppressor is a flat black, while the top of the receiver is a nice shiny gunmetal. The bottom is all black expected for the very visual gunmetal bolt release. The pricing is fair, however, the factory new is always overpriced and the minimum ware is recommended. The StatTrak is almost a four times in price increase, but if your wallet allows it, it could be considered.

Glock-18

Royal Legion
A skin incorporating both metal and leather the Royal Legion is an old fashion gun that has amazing engravings on both the port and starboard side. The bottom has tanned leather and a black rubber pad on the magazine. The prices are very reasonable and the StatTrak pricing is fine as well, although the factory new StatTrak is overprices compared to the minimal wear StatTrak.
It earns a spot on the Silver Tier.

Brass
Using Brass as a base instead of the common metal skins the “brass” is fairly unique. However, the color is quite ugly and lower quality examples show some frankly terrible age. If you like the color brass and buy a high-quality example you could consider it, but otherwise, it's not recommended. The price is fair, but it’s not a great “bang for your buck”. There are currently no known examples of a StatTrak either.

P2000

Silver
The silver is a very simple skin with a silver top and slide and a gray bottom. The Skin oddly only comes in factory new and minimal wear, but there’s such a small supply of minimal wears that the factory new is always cheaper. There are currently no examples of a StatTrak as well.
It Earns a spot on the Bronze Tier.

Anodized Gunmetal
The Anodized gunmetal is a nice and sleek skin with a gunmetal top and a black bottom. It only comes in factory new and minimal wear, however due to the amount of supply the two tend to be similar in price. The price itself is very fair. There are also no examples of a StatTrak at the moment.
It earns a spot on the Silver Tier.

Copper Galaxy
The Copper Galaxy is a bronze colored but very sleek. It’s a Bronze slide with a black bottom, It only comes in factory new, minimal wear, and field-tested. The pricing is fair, and if you want to make your wallet cry a little more StatTrak options are available.

Case Hardened
The ak-47 case hardened little brother. It’s a case hardened top with a black bottom, and it’s an affordable option when it comes to putting your foot in the door for case hardened skins. The factory new however is overpriced and the minimal wear is much more affordable. StatTrak versions are also available.

Brass
A brass top and a black plastic bottom, the brass has a very reasonable price except for the factory new and its cousin the factory new souvenir version. The souvenir commemorates the MLG Columbus 2016 CS:GO Championships.

P250

Cartel
The cartel has amazing engravings throughout the entire skin, but the most prominent engraving is the Cinco de Mayo Skull on the grip. The pricing is great considering the artistic value of the skin. The StatTrak versions are quite high in price for good examples however, but luckily for you the differences between wares in this skins is purely how dark the skin is (the engravings are not effected whatsoever).
It earns a spot on the Gold Tier.

Desert Eagle

Naga
A Engraved Desert Eagle with a wooden grip. The skin very affordable and only gets darker at lower wares, and is even available in StatTrak. The StatTrak factory new is very uncommand however and demands a higher price.

Pilot
Using elements of silver and gold the pilot finishes of its look with a pilot symbol at the front and a wooden handgrip. It’s rather expensive however and isn’t recommended unless you really like the overall look of the skin. There are no current examples of StatTrak variants.

Corinthian
This skin screams steampunk and is covered in engravings from top to bottom, however for many it’s a little too much especially considering its color. The price however is very reasonable, and StatTrak versions are available as well.

CZ-75 Auto

Victoria
This skin is drop dead drop dead gorgeous, and to think it used to be worth over hundreds of dollars. Now thanks to the Cz nerf this skin can be had for Five dollars at minimal wear at the time of this writing. It comes in StatTrak versions as well.
It earns a spot on the Gold Tier.

Tread Plate
Based on the look of a tread plate it combines a nice shiny metal with an interesting pattern. Its rather affordable but only comes in factory new, minimal wear, and field-tested. However StatTrak versions are available.

Cartel
Although more flashy then the majority of the Cartel collection, the cartel dual Berettas offers another great option for fans of the well know cartel Ak-47. The skin is very affordable and is even offered in StatTrak versions.

Cartel
Engraved from back to front with a flower skull on the magazine the cartel is a work of art. The Skin just screams day of the dead and the name fits surely fits the power ak-47. Although the prices have been going up the cartel is still reasonably priced skin that even comes in StatTrak.

Case Hardened
One of the most popular Ak skins on the market, the case hardened is a very unique skin. Every single skin is different form the next case hardened; due to this you can find all gold, blue and even pink versions. However these unique versions drive up the price even more, so find a case harden that fits your taste.

Basilisk
Engraved with a Basilisk on the side with carbon black accessories including the magazine, buttstock, forend, and suppresser the skin is a direct upgrade to the default. The nice black and gun metal contrast is a definite plus and there are even StatTrak versions available. The skin is fairly priced for as well.

Royal Paladin
Incorporating both gold and engraving the Royal Paladin is a beautiful skin. It uses an interesting choice of contrast, the color grey. However with its price range is high but reasonable considering the skin in question its understandable, StatTrak versions are even available as well.

Damascus Steel
The Damascus Steel is a sight indeed, and probably one of the most shiny skins in the entire game. It gives off an almost radio-active glow, and demands attention. The prices are very reasonable except for the factory new souvenir version which is overpriced. The souvenir version of this skin commemorates the ESL One Cologne 2016 CS:GO Championship.

MAC-10

Graven
Gold in color with engravings on the side the graven is a wonderful looking skin, however the pricing is a little high for a mac-10 skin. The factory new is not recommended due to its price however, nor its StatTrak factory new cousin.

A basic and simple silver skin, coming in a nice low price that anyone you like playing with the MAC-10 can justify a purchase. However the skin is rather simple and only comes in factory new and minimal ware (the factory new tends to be cheaper).

PP-Bizon

Brass
Remnant of a Call of Duty gun the Brass looks like a gold gun. Be aware however that the skin gets darker and less pleasing with lower wares; any ware below field tested is not recommended. The pricing is fair for an all gold gun and souvenir versions are available. The souvenir versions commemorate the ESL One Katowice 2015 CS:GO Championship.

Silver
A completely silver MAG-7 skin, If you like jumping corners in style this may be a great option for you. Available in only factory new and minimal ware the silver is a very economical skin. But there is also a souvenir version as well commemorating the ESL One Cologne 2015 CS:GO Championship.

Nova

Walnut
Wood and metal, they don’t make guns like the use to. But that can’t stop you from getting this incredibly affordable priced Nova (I got mine at 0.03$) however prices have gone up. A souvenir version exists as well commemorating the ESL One Cologne 2015 CS:GO Championship.

Sawed-Off

Copper
If have to love copper to buy this one, coming in a high price for its practical use the copper is as orange as they come. At a high price (due to it being in the dust collection) the copper is not recommended unless your love copper or you love the sawed-off. Be warned battle-scarred version are a full shade of green.

XM1014

Blue Steel
First off the prices on these are amazing; however the skin is just that, blue steel. It’s a great way to get a nice flat metal skin for your shotguns, a category that is very small and overlooked in counterstrike. However souvenir options are available but not recommend due to their high price.
