"1) I created a vector of the logo in Adobe InDesign before making the steel texture in Photoshop with Filter Forge 4 plugin.
2) I made a cut out for the logo by subtracting the vector logo from a square that was the full dimension of the image in InDesign.
3) I then placed the steel texture in InDesign in the image filling the screen before duplicating the image.
4) On the duplicate image I cut out the area around the logo from the cut out I made in step 2
5) I made a black rectangle that filled up the screen and nestled it between the logo and the background with 50% translucenct on "Multiply"
6) I beveled and embossed the logo, added the drop shadow and a 1mm basic feather around the edges of the logo.
7) I exported it as a .PDF
8) I opened the .PDF in photoshop and added the signature in the top right of the screen with an outer bevel.
9) I flattened the image and added the lens flare effect.
10) I applied a small median filter before downsampling it to 4K and the secondary 1080p Image that I uploaded on Steam."

The UAC Logo took around 2 hours to create as a vector image with Adobe InDesign.

I am working on an UltraHD (2K) texture pack for Doom 1, Doom 2 and Final Doom for various sourceports, and I will be using this modern UAC logo in the texture pack.
