Illuminated Ores - Original Version

Description
if this mod doesn't show up after subscribing, make sure to restart Starbound and/or Steam a few times until Steam decides to actually download the mod...

Makes every ore in game glow slightly, the color depending on the ore type.

Versions:
This is the Original Version. There are two more versions:
Dim Version
Bright Version


Compatibility:
This mod might not work with other mods that modify ores or add new ores, but is explicitly tested to work well with Lettered Ores as well as Frackin' Universe and Industrialization: Starbound Edition.

If you notice any issues with mod compatibiliy, please let me know.


Multiplayer Information:
This is a client-side mod, there is no point in installing it on a server. Players with the mod can play together with players without the mod without causing any issues.

For some reason, the other 2 variant mods of this work as intended, and do not cause lag, but this one in particular, while it does show the ores with a reasonable amount of lighting, it also lags like a mofo. the kind of lag that keeps you walking for a half second after you stop holding the move keys. scouring the error log seems not to help. i have frackin' races installed as well, to help with fixing the lag issues (since it also provides the ores)

Ahhh, I see, thank you. I thought I was going nuts remembering things that weren't there, haha. This is STILL one of the best mods out there. Removes so much of the guesswork for mining. Thank you for making it.

There are some slight differences in the colors of the light depending on ore type, but you are right, there used to be a stronger difference. at some point a good while ago the game changed the way the lighting works and the numbers all changed, and the colors aren't as bright anymore.
