Just check it, they multiply.
You get NO BONUSES before 200. You get 4x boosts at each of 200, 225, 250, 275, and 300. They each multiply your BASE ORIGINAL DAMAGE only, they do not multiply by each other but rather they ADD to each other. So yes it is actually 20x damage not 1024. Similar for the later levels. Trust me, I did the math.
However, I did my math YEARS ago in a much earlier version of the game. It is possible that they have changed the rule set between then and now. And I'm not about to dive back into this thing just to do more math. I have other things I'm working on and I just don't have that kind of time. If someone else wouldn't mind putting in a bit of work to verify Thurhame's math on the most recent game version I'd appreciate it, will update the info in the guide and credit you both for it. :)
Similarly the bonus at level 1000 isn't (32 * 4 + 1 * 10) = 1280. It's (4 ^ 32 * 10 ^ 1) = 1.6 e20 !!!
So at level 1000 without skills, Dave has a DPS of 8.0 e22 :)
Non-exponential Ancients effectively become a flat multiplier by level 500 or so at the latest, since your gold or dps without the ancient is insignificant next to the ancient's bonus. This means it's most efficient to level all such Ancients of the same type evenly. For example, if you play active (combo) and have 3.000e20 hero souls to spend on dps, your dps ancients should wind up looking similar to this:
1.000e20 Morgulis
1.000e10 Argaiv
1.000e10 Bhaal
1.000e10 Fragsworth
1.000e8 Juggernaut
In general, if Morgulis is e(X), then Ancients with N scaling should be e(X * 1/2), and Juggernaut / Nogardnit should be e(X * 2/5).
