[Up to Date] Flux Farming & Other Currencies! (how to get flux) [In depth guide]

This guide will teach you the fastest and most time-efficient ways of getting Flux and other type of currencies in Trove!!

Introduction

Hello there flux hungry friends. So I was looking arround to see if I could find a good flux farming guide to Trove and noticed that all the flux guides were really outdated and many didn't cover the most recent ways or even the Mantle of Power uptade. So to all your reliefe I will pour all my flux getting expirience in this guide for you! I will mention as well how to get the other currencies that at the moment are glim, cubits and credits.

(this will be a really complete guide so might end up being really long as well, feel free to search for the specific information you are looking for. You can do this in most browsers by presing Ctrl+G and just searching for key words)

Flux

Flux. Flux is the big one. "El Fluxo" in spanish. The one we know we only care about. With flux you can buy pretty much everithing in the game. It is and has been always the main currency of the game with all players using it to trade goods, mounts, materials among other things since ever, even before the marketplace was a thing. You also use it to better your gear in the forge and to upgrade your Gems (and some gem dust) **Shut up and tell me how to get the flux already!** ok ok calm down I'll get to it then.

Flux can be obtained in plenty of ways but most of them suck. The this ones are the ones that don't:

(Note: not all of them are fit for all players so I'll state wich ones are good for what kind of players)
(Note#2: the text inside *example_text* is a brief description of what the task consists of)

1.- Mining

(Good for All players): *mine and sell minerals* This is a great way to get flux for new and old players. What you need to do is to go into a Dragonfire Peaks Biome (I recommend entering a Master Adventure Portal) and look arround for a cave entrance, then go into the cave. Once you are in the cave you will need to look arround for minerals. The ones you are looking for are Shapestone Ore and Primordial Flame. Of course some Infinium and some Golden souls are welcome too but remember that you are trying to mine as much shapestone and primoridal flame in the less time to make more flux per hour. You look for these 2 minerals because they are the ones that sell the fastest and for more reasonable price in the marketplace as well as being the more abundant ones.

Now once you find the minerals you need to mine them and you can do this in 3 diferent ways:
I: Presing tab and using your laser to break them and get them. This method costs nothing at all but the downside is that it's considerably slower than the next method.

II: The second method you could use is to buy or craft a lot of bombs (200 recomended) and just run to the minerals, aim for the center of the vein and throw one or 2 bombs at it. This will give you all the minerals instantly except for the golden souls and primordial flames because this ones are harder. Avoid slowing down to get every last piece of shapestone, it only makes you earn less flux per hour at the end, just throw a couple bombs and thats it, run to the next vein and repeat.

III: The last method is to use a mount that can fire blast of fire (like the Tank Turtle or Any Legendary Dragon Mount) which work pretty much like bombs. Doing this also has a downside. Obtaining this mounts can be really hard specialy for new players and the bombs they shoot are smaller in radius than the regular bomb so it might take more time to get the whole vein. The upside of this is that bombs from this kind of mounts are unlimited and 100% free.

Now once you got all your minerals in your inventory comes the good part.. Selling them!!! Open the Marketplace by pressing the keyboard key 'U' and then you'll need to search the mineral you want to sell as if you were gonna buy it in order to see what is the current price for it at the moment. Go the the search bar and search for the mineral you want to sell. Important: Remember to check the "Sort by unit price" box so you can see the real price per unit. Now go to the sell tab and add the amount of minerals you want to sell. Usually the best way to sell them is in packs. For example instead of selling 1156 shapestone try selling 500 or 1000 at a time. REALLY IMPORTANT: Never under sell your products in order to "sell them first" because you'll end up lowering the items price and make less flux for you and your fellow trove merchants. Always sell it at it's fair price. Say shapestone is at 1.3 each, Well sell it at 1.3 or even at 1.4 each BUT NEVER at 1.2 each because then all the other trovians will lower it to that and someone will then drop it to 1.1 and so on until you cannot longer make good money out of it. At the end it all sells and you can make a decent amount of flux.

With this method the amount of flux you can make per hour varies in many ways (saturation of the market, Mining day was recently, not many demant,) but you can make about 15k to 30k flux per hour. When there is great demand of Primordial flame I have gotten to make even 60k flux an hour. Estimated Flux per hour: 20-40k

2.- Shadow Tower Farming

(Need a strong Power Rank character, arround 5,000 PR): *Run ST and sell Shadow Caches* This method is way simplier than the last one. You will need 2 things for being able to to this. A character with a good amount of PR and a bunch of Moon Keys. Moon Keys can be obtained by farming Uber-6 world dungeons and breaking the chests. It costs 200 moon key fragments to get a Moon Key and it is craftable in the Adventurer's Crafting Bench. When you got your character and your keys ready then you will need to get into a Shadow Tower Hard for this method to be efficient. If your character is below 5k pr then I recommend that you try either Hard Spike Walker or Weeping Prophet. If you do are somewat strong go to a Hard Daughter of the Moon. Any way you will need a group of players to to this dungeons in a fast way. To find a group or Member to join your run you can join the Shadow Tower Chat by typing "/join st" in your char area, then do "/3" to join said channel. Now invite friends and random players to join you and help you. After each run (3 Normal dungeons and 1 boss room) you will be able to use your key to open the boss chest and this will give you your shadow caches + some items you can deconstruct to get the flux and eyes and if you are lucky some forged souls to sell. If doing DOTM Hard each run will grant you around 12 shadow caches in Shard Day (fridays).

The price of the shadow caches is arround 300 flux each but it can vary. Also the amount of runs completed can depend on how fast your group is.
Estimated flux per hour: 30k-45k

3.- Radiant Shard gathering

(Good for all players): *Get Radiant Shards and sell them* This Method is only worth doing in Extra Shard Day (fridays). To do this you will need to find yourself a Sky world Portal which can be found in club worlds. You can also ask in global chat for an invitation. To get a really good amount of flux you need to have a somewhat big group to help you get as much shards as posible. Try to get a group on fridays in the global chat by asking for an invitation to radiant shard farming. Once in the sky world look for sky dungeons and activate the cursed skull. Shards will pop up and you need to hit them with any hability or basic attack in order to gather them. After getting as much as you like, sell them by packs in the marketplace. This method is really easy and everyone can do it but you definitly get less flux from it.
Estimated Flux per hour: 10k-15k *may vary because of shard prices*

4.- Flipping the marketplace

(Require big amount of starting flux & time): *buy items low, sell them high* You ever wanted to feel like a business magnate? Get them Hoes in your Freshly tuned ganda mount? Well this is not the right place for you.
This method consist on buying items on the market place and then selling them at higher prices. It usually requires you to buy immense amounts of this items to "control the market of it". Let me try to explain it. All shapestone is at 1.3 per unit, and I buy all the shapestone in the market and sell it at 1.9 each unit, as soon as someone puts some shapestone at 1.3 I buy it and re-sell it at 1.9 forcing all players to buy it from me at that price. In my opinion it takes too many time and takes away the fun of the game. Some say its the best way of getting flux in the game.

(Ganda is the rares mount in game, can cost up to 8 million flux)

Flux Part 2

5.- Challenges

(First 2 phases of the challenges are good for all players, the last one might need some PR) *do challenges, ge flux from dragon caches*
Every hour in the game (example: 10:00pm, 11:00pm etc.) there apears a challenge which tells you which biome dungeons you need to complete in order to get the rewards. The Challenge divides in 3 phases. The first one givin a dragon coin after completicion, the second one 2 dragon caches (lesser dragon caches at the time of writing this guide) and the last one another 2 dragon caches. The first phase asks you to complete 5 dungeons, the second phase 40 and the third phase 99. To be able to do this in the 20 minutes the challenge lasts you can use the bonus classes the challenge specifies to get x3 points towards completicion. The challenge awards a x4 bonus for being in uber 6 so if using a bonus class + being in uber 6 you can get 12 points for each dungeon making it quite easy to get the 99 points of the last phase. By completing all phases of a challenge you can get 4 dragon caches.
Each dragon cache when opened can give you a dragon coin or flux. Flux can go from 300 all the way to 2500.
Estimated flux per hour: 1500 to 2000 flux.

6.- Grinding

(Defenitly not good for new players, Need at least 5,000 PR) *Do dungeons, get flux from destroying the items* This method only gives a good amount of flux if you have a strong class that has a decent amount of Magic Find and can clear U8 and U9 dungeons in a fast manner. Go to the highest Uber you can farm in a decent speed and start doing all the dungeons as fast as you can. Then when your inventory is full go to your cornerstone and de-construct your items. It will give you flux, eyes and if you are lucky forged souls. You are aiming to get as much forged souls and as higher level as possible. The higher the level the more it will sell for. To get better drops you will need to get better Magic Find. Arround 500-700 is a good to start. After Farming for a period of time stop to sell your forged souls and your eyes if you want to. Use a thome that gives you flux or other valuable stuff because if will fill a lot and you can get some extra flux from this. The robotic salvage tome is a good option.
Estimated flux per hour: 40k-60k in u8 with a decent amount of dungeoning speed.

7.- Titan's Treasure

(Normal ST: Good for all players, Hard ST: Needs some decent PR, Ultra: Needs a really strong character at least 10k PR) *Get weekly Titan Souls and buy Titan's Treasure* Each week starting on Mondays, the Shadow Tower's rewards reset. This means you can do them again and get Titan Souls when defeating the final boss of each floor of each dificulty. With this titan souls you can buy Titan's Treasure in the shadow market (it's located inside the finishing point after any stage of the shadow tower). This are boxes which when opened give big amounts of flux to the player. It can contain from 4500 flux all the way up to 50,000 flux. (4500,8000,9999-Normal drop/ 20,000 - uncommon drop/ 50,000 - Rare drop). You can open them or sell them in the marketplace for about 9k each box. I recommend for you to open them because the chances of you getting higher drops is really posible.
If compliting all floors of Normal ST you can get: 3 Titan souls = 1 Titan's Treasure.
If compliting all floors of Hard ST you can get: 9 Titan souls = 3 Titan's Treasure.
If compliting all floors of Ultra ST you can get: 15 Titan souls = 5 Titan's Treasure.
In total you can get 27 Titan Souls a week which is equal to 9 Titan's Treasures.
Note: You don't have to do them all in order to get the souls. If you do hard Spike Walker you will get the 3 souls from it plus the 1 soul of normal Spike Walker if it has not been colecter already. This means if you are strong enough to do Ultra you don't need to do all of them to get all the souls, just by doing the ultra versions you get all the other souls as well.
Estimated flux per WEEK: Up to Normal - 8k/ Up to Hard - 32k/ Up to Ultra - 72k
*please note that the flux amount above is considered an average of 8k flux per Titan's Treasure*

Glim

Glim is a currency used in the game to buy from merchants mounts, ship sails, allys and some other stuff. You can also buy some stuff at the market but it is much more less used than flux.

There are 2 good ways to get it:

1.-Running

Just go to a normal world and run with your mount through grass and world flora. It will pop and often grant you 1 glim. Repeat doing this for an hour and you will find yourself with a good amount of glim.
Estimated Glim per hour: 5k

2.-Fishing

They say this is the best way of getting glim. To do this you need to have a fishing rod (you can buy one at the hub in the pirate isle stand from the merchant) and some lure (buy from same merchant) and then go to a body of water and press 'F' after equiping your rod. This can take some time but it will grant you a lot of fish. Put them in the loot colector and congrats, you got yourself some glim.
Estimated glim per hour: Unknown (I have not done it for an hour straight, sorry guys )

Cubits

This type of currency is way more important now with the mantle of power update since it is used to buy gem boosters and Re-Gemerators to fix your broken gems. You can buy flasks, emblembs and more with it.
The sad thing is that it is hard and slow to obtain. I'll mention all the ways there are to obtain cubits.

The First and most common way is to fill the star bar located at the top right corner of the screen by doing dungeons.

The Second way is by completing the Starter tutorial quests that you get when first playing the game. Do what they say and they'll grant you cubits. Notice you can only do this once per account.

The Third way is by gaining mastery levels which will grant you 500 cubits at levels: 2,6,11,13,16,18,21,26,28.
And start giving you 1000 Cubits at levels:
33,38,43,48,53,58,63,68,73,78,83,88,93,98.
Due to the dificulty of getting mastery level this can take long time.

The Fourth and last way to get cubits is by completing badges. All 'Gameplay' badges and some 'Friend' badges give you diferent amounts of cubits and other rewards when completed. You can check your badges by pressing the key 'Y'.

Credits

There are only 2 ways of getting credits, buying them and getting them from mastery level rewards.

They can be bought for real money in the In-Game store by pressing the 'N' key.

The other way is unlocking 100 of them at mastery levels: 31,36,41,46,51,56,61,66,71,76,81,86,91,96.
granting you a total of 1400 credits at mastery 96.

[sorry is this was outdated] for mining ,if you have a strong guy, i recommend the igneous islands. they will ONLY spawn shapestone and flames, although sometimes golden souls. sometimes they have huge clumps of ore and can make a lot of flux

to those moaning about mining, craft bombs. they mine faster then your laser regardless of your lasermancy skill level. also the market price fluctuates earlier in the week so sometimes its smart to save up and sell your stock later in the week after the mining bonus day has passed. you can expect to make 10k an hour, i usually make around that much.. sell your flames in stacks of 50, shapestone sells no matter how large of a stack you put so dont forget that 1:1 is alot if u have 9999 of them
