The Science Behind Getting Better at CS:GO
By Black Jesus
What is this guide and should i waste my time reading it?
Well, this guide will show the science behind how humans improve, and how it relates to csgo. So if you are maybe wondering why you are never getting better, i would advise reading this.
Otherwise you should probably not bother!

What do you mean by science?
What i initially mean is why you get better at games, how long it takes. How the brain works - what reasons you are good. Science is literally asking why at the end of the day, so that is what this guide will basically focus on. I hope you are intelligent enough to understand what i am about to say, but i think 5 year old could understand my style of writing so lets begin!

The most important skill in CS:GO (You don't have to read this part)
I'm sure you sometimes wonder, what is the most important thing in CS:GO, what should i always be trying to improve..

The answer to that is reaction time. Aim comes second.
Your reaction time is how fast you can literally react to something happening in the world. Whether it's in the world of pixels, or real-life circumstances, reaction time applies to them all.

A natural humans reaction time on computers is between 250 - 300ms. Therefore when something appears on your screen 250ms+ later you will notice it. A professional gamers reaction time on a computer is probably -200ms. Awpers such as KennyS maybe even below 199 ms. (Slightly inhuman might i add)

Why is reaction time so important?

Well if you had no reaction time you wouldnt be able to play csgo at all. But if you had 1ms reaction time you would be the best player in the world regardless if you could aim or not, because no one would be able to peek you (ever). You could essentially win every duel in the game if you played it right.

How does improving work in CS:GO, and why does it take so many hours to get better?
As a human, your body and your brain naturally adjusts to its surroundings, not matter if they are pixels or real life objects. If you lift a 20KG object 10 minutes up and down, and your body can barely withstand it. Over the course of the upcoming days, your body will adjust its muscles so when you meet the same 20KG object(s), your body will find it a lot easier to do so. This is called hypertrophy, and it works in a similar way to CS:GO, but rather than improving muscle strength, it works off the brain and muscle memory.

The brain remembers everything you do in CS:GO subconciously, so when you do it again, you always have (some) idea of how to do it again; E.G -Although your spray pattern won't be as good as it was when you was hammering at it on Recoil Masters 8 hours before, your subconcious will remember parts of the spray pattern practice on the previous day, so you will naturally be better it the next day, although no where near as good as you was when you were practicing it before.

So if you have a day where you are on top of the world on CS:GO and hitting the most insane shots ever. It's probably because your brain for some reason is really focusing on bring up previous memories of the game for you. That's why putting many hours into CS:GO is a good idea. Alas it can be a waste if you don't use them effeciently. How? Well let us see.

What am i doing wrong when trying to get better
Ooo, ok, so!
Look at your hours, if you have 500 by now you are probably Nova 4, which is the mean for hours to rank from what i have calculated.
If you have 1000, you are probably mg-mge
1500 you are probably LE-LEM approaching Supreme
2000+ You should be SupremeMFC
2500+ Extremely Close to Global, or Global Elite.

That is the normal improve pattern of a player who has just played this game consistently over the course of a year.
But you could have achieved Supreme in just 1000 hours. The answer to how is an extreme amount of intense practice. Yes play alot of matchmaking and faceit and esea. NO NO NO You idiot. That's the worst way to improve your aim and reaction time. Now the absolute best way is to play Community Deathmatch, Aimbotz and Fast-Aim Reflex Training.

BUTT WHY? I really thought matchmaking and playing against high rank players was the answer

My friends, rank really doesn't mean anything. People are telling the truth when they say that, it's just a picture someone made on photoshop, your individual skill is only limited to the amount you practice, you don't see Goku with a rank, he just becomes more godlike the more he fights.

The reason why is compared to PUGs, deathmatch means more kills per second. Probably 3 kills per 17 seconds rather than 3 kills per 10 mins. If you are conditioning your brain to constantly do the same thing, your subconcious memories and muscle memories slowly get used to it and become more powerful in that sense. So you rapidly improve, which is why community deathmatch is how to get better extremely fast. But you shouldn't neglect aim training maps, the best way to surface the important subconcious memories is by doing simple tasks such as aiming at standing still bots, or 1 motion dynamic ones. (Aimbotz and Fast Aim Reflex Training), once you are used to that, move onto actual humans.

That's the science behind improving. My training regimen right now is really really simple, i simply spend 3 hours practicing this cycle of events.

Aimbotz, i literally focus on 1 tapping them in the head, then for sprays in the head then peek sprays to the head. In that order, nothing to it. That usually takes 35 mins.

After Fast Aim Reflex Training ( I do what black kadashi does for about 25 mins or so. )

Finally, i just hop on deathmatch until i get hella bored lol. Which is about 2 hours. Sometimes even 30 mins is all it takes. I am surfacing memories both in the muscles and within my brain so i play at the same intensity as i did the previous day. So my improvement pattern is always in an upward stream, and it also means i am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more consistant as a player, so rather than just 30 bombing the odd game, i literally 30 bomb nearly all of them, if not 30 then 25 kills or less. Seriously it feels incredible to finally be a consistant player.

If you need personal help, then just add me i will try and get ya on something that benefits you.

I'll leave you guys with my personal opinion on who the best aimers, (not players) but aimers are in the game.
