Gunstar One (Last Starfighter)

Description
The Gunstar is the primary space superiority fighter and attack craft deployed by the Star League. It is long ranged, highly agile and well armed with a variety of weapons systems.

It's not about how the movie looks so much as how much soul it has. Last Starfighter had young talent, old talent, a classic "hero's journey" archetypical story arch, villains both dangerously genre savvy and spectacularly ham-and-cheese, and a genuine orchestral soundtrack with more trumpets than Robert Preston had seen since he did The Music Man. And yes, it was the very first movie to have entire scenes fully rendered in CGI. Just keep the MST3K mantra in mind... after all, sci-fi writers have no sense of scale.

Old sci-fi adventure is the best sci-fi adventure, IMO. The modern CGI action is pretty and all, but I'll take a hand painted sky, a scratch-built model and a greenscreen to fly her by, thank you

Greetings, Starfighter! You have been recruited by the Star League, to defend the Frontier against Xur, and the Ko-Dan Armada. That is a great job, dude. It's too bad the only other Star League ship in the entire move is pretty much Centauri's StarCar.
