Description
Hard and Insane difficulty tweaks.

A word of warning: This mod is a bit old and with the addition of the new updates there has been some difficulty changes to the vanilla game. I don't know how these changes affected the game or how it has changed my mod's functionality. It's safe to assume the game will be much easier than intended (especially the end-game events or fallen empires) but other than that, it should be the same. I'll look into this mod if I get into the game again. Anyone who wants to replicate my mod is welcome to do so with a distinctive name (don't use similar names, don't want any confusion).

All this mod currently does, is make the game easier on hard or insane difficulties. Normal game mode untouched.

All the bonuses that hard mode offers to the AI is now 20% instead of 50%.
All the bonuses that insane mode offers to the AI is now 40% instead of 100%.

(Gave some other bonuses to the AI to keep it challenging but they shouldn't be noticeable. Well, to be honest, I'm not even sure the bonuses work, but I'll try to find a way to make sure.)

This keeps the game challenging for the casual players such as myself whilst keeping it fair.

Suggestions are welcome, I'll look into what I can or cannot change. Currently, I cannot add new difficulty modes, game's logic is set up only with 3 difficulties (2 actually, normal is not a difficulty level). If there are changes to this, I will add more options (up to 10 levels I hope). Also, there's no workaround for this as of yet.

There shouldn't be any conflicts with other mods unless they're adjusting difficulty multipliers, because so far that's the only thing I've changed.

If you like this mod, please remember to rate it up so that it can move up in the list of mods.

Always read change notes for details.

Updated: Changes made to some of the build costs for the AI (made some stuff cheaper), but there's no real way to know whether these changes affected them or not.

Hey, I've been trying to make a mod similar to yours, but with hard and insane ai being buffed. I've been trying a few different things, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make it work. I've tried directly modifying the game files, but that did not work. Additionally, I have tried to make a mod file for it, but that does not seem to be having any effect either. I appreciate any help you are willing to provide. :)

I don't think the diplomatic penalties are in the file I used. Anyway, you can look at whatever I changed via the zip file you download when you get the mod. I don't remember where it is but it should come up if you search for the file number on your PC which is 713390186. (You can also search Google on where workshop files go in Stellaris, you'll get at least several results.)

Its not updated but it still currently works with 1.2,4 (tested with console commands to see how the AI output is)
