Stages of Slime Hunger
There are 5 stages of hunger a slime will go through if not fed for some time. Each stage requires a certain number of food in order for the slime to be full.

Most images are from the Internet, said images belong to respective owners

Stage 1

Expression: Slime has its mouth open in a smile.

This stage means the slime has been fully fed and will not accept any food given by the player until it goes hungry again. Slimes at this stage will hardly bounce and Boom slimes will explode once in a while.

Stage 2

Expression: Slime is now smiling with mouth closed

This stage means the slime is happy, but wouldn't mind getting fed. Feeding one food item will change the slime's expression to Stage 1. Slimes at this stage will bounce occasionally and Boom slimes will explode a bit more frequent.

Stage 3

Expression: Slime has it's eyes slanted downwards and mouth is in a frown.

This means that the slime is getting hungry and needs food, feeding two food items will restore the slime to Stage 1. Slimes at this stage will bounce commonly (Boom slimes included).

Stage 4

Expression: Slime will sometimes have eyes opened or closed in a curved slant and mouth is open downwards drooling.

This means that the slime is getting even hungrier and more upset, feeding three food items will revert slime to Stage 1. Slimes will bounce often and Boom slimes will explode a few seconds of each other.

Stage 5

Expression: Slime will have eyes open or closed in a curved slant, mouth is drooling heavily.

This stage is a threat to ranchers, especially if they are boom slimes. Feeding three food items will change them back to Stage 1. Slimes will bounce constantly and Boom slimes will explode almost all the time.

Feral Stage
(Largos Only)

Expression: Slime will have red glowing furious eyes and a upset face.

(Picture is a bit outdated).

This stage is dangerous to ranchers, as the slime will attempt to bite and stomp on the player, sometimes creating a aura blast. Thankfully, this stage only applies to Largos, and a very long time needs to pass for them to become feral. They can also be encountered in the wild at certain areas To calm down Ferals, feed them one piece of their respective food.

Feral Hunters

Expression: Same as a Feral Slime.

(Could not find a good picture)

While not exactly a hunger stage, when a Hunter slime turns into a largo, it will become feral. The only way to turn it back to normal is by feeding it food. Also, if Hunter largos go hungry for a while, they go feral, so make sure to keep them well fed.

Puddle slimes and fire slimes can be in stages as well. You can tell from the eyes if they need feeding but fire slimes need ash and puddle slimes need water so its not that hard to keep them happy. im still glad to help people :D

@Novoke , you missed that Quantam slimes will teleport a TON, and will infletrate your gardens, even when a Tarr Scarecrow is at the garden.
