Hedbanz! / What Am I? ['90s Kid Version]

Description
Hedbanz is the fun, quick question game of "What am I?". Can you figure out the card on your head, when everybody knows but you?

Easy to learn party game, 2-10 players. Was mainly marketed towards '90s kids, but trust me, it's fun at any age! Possible to play in languages besides English or with younger players due to the illustrations on the cards.

NOTE: The original rules have been slightly modified to streamline the game for play on Tabletop Simulator. Rules are available on this page as well as in the in-game Notebook.

CONTENTS

- 67 Hedbanz Cards
- 10 "Suggested Questions" Cards
- 10 D20 Dice (for determining turn order)
- Infinite Chips

All cards were scanned at 300 dpi then resized down .5x to ensure both quality and decent load time. Cards are a nonstandard size; their original aspect ratio is preserved.

HOW TO PLAY
(the Rules below can also be found in the Notebook in-game)

Objective:
- Get rid of all your chips by successfully guessing what you are!

Setup:
- Shuffle the deck in the center.
- Deal 1 card to each player. (Shortcut: Hover over the deck and press 1 if you are the GM/Host.)
- Everyone flips their card face-up when it is in their hand. You should be able to see everyone else's card but your own!
- Each player takes 3 chips from the "bank".
- Optional: Each player may take a "Suggested Questions" card for easy reference. Good for beginner players!

Play:
- Roll a die to determine who goes first. Turns will continue clockwise.
- On your turn, you can ask any one question to try to figure out what you are, except for "What am I?"
- Try to guess what you are! Cards include man-made objects, animals, and food. "Am I a..?"
- If you guess correctly, get rid of one of your chips and draw a new card. Discard the old card.
- If you're stumped, you can give up guessing your current card. Draw a new card and get one chip from the bank. Discard the old card.
- Once you're done guessing, the next player takes their turn. Continue until someone runs out of chips.

Players are not allowed to reveal what is on other peoples' cards! If someone does so, they have to take a chip as a penalty and a new card should be dealt to the player whose card was revealed. Discard the old card.

Winning:
- The first player to get rid of all of their chips wins!

Hard Mode:
Here are some optional rule suggestions on how to make the game harder. By default, they are off, but you can ask your host if any of these rules apply.

- Ask yes or no questions only. Other players can only answer "yes" or "no".
- Limit the amount of questions people can ask before they are forced to give up.
- Disallow the use of "Suggested Questions" cards.
- Increase the amount of chips each player is dealt (harder to win, will increase game length).
