Change the names of the soldiers

You don't like the names of the soldiers? Okay, then give them another name!

This Guide will show you how to change the names of the soldiers or to add a new one.

Change / Add names

1. Open the "Steam" folder
2. Open the "steamapps" folder
3. Open the "common" folder
4. Open the "RunningWithRifles" folder
5. Open the "media" folder
6. Open the "packages" folder
7. Open the "vanilla" folder
8. Open the "names" folder


Now you can see the documents for the names of each faction.
One document is for the first name and one for the last name.
Open it and then you can change the names or add a new one.

Update: There is a way! In your save game there should be a "person" file that you can edit, and your character's name is right there for you to change it. Of course, you'd have to do it again every time you died, but my goal was to try to get as far as I could with one character, so it works for me.

I wish there was a way to just set the name of your character in singleplayer. I'm not sure what other purpose the username you can pick when starting a campaign is supposed to serve.

You can choose the name for your multiplayer soldier before you join a server. But I dont think its possible to change the name later again.

Mr.Green, I notice the name but I tried clicking on it, It won't allow me to change. So I was thinking, does it matter if I change it since I played mostly in Single player.
