Introduction
This is a money guide for GTA Online

Most of the information is for the VIP's. But, there are some tips for the people that can't become VIP's, yet.
Can you Become a VIP?
So, if you can become a VIP, that's nice.
The only limitation (as far as I'm concerned) is the money. You need to have at least 50.000$ (50 thousand) in your GTA Online account (Thanks to "SUPER-TANK" for this information). If you have that kind of money simply register yourself as a VIP!

How to register as a VIP:
  • Log in to GTA Online.
  • Press "M" in order to open your interaction menu.
  • Find the "SecuroServ" option at the interaction menu.
  • Press enter and register yourself as a VIP.
  • Name your organization however you want.
You can now enjoy the benefits of a VIP for 4 hours!
Already a VIP
Getting started

The only limitation right now is yourself. How far are you willing to go and how much are you going to grind in the next 4 hours as a VIP.

This is not going to be easy. This is money grinding after all. It gets boring and monotonous sometimes.

VIP Jobs
The jobs we are going to focus on, are:
"Sightseer", "Hostile Takeover", "Most Wanted", "Piracy Prevention"

Let's talk about these jobs a little more and then we will talk about the grinding.
Sightseer
Sightseer
One of the easiest and fastest job in my opinion.

What I'm i supposed to do?
This is easy! You need a chopper. Getting a chopper is optional you can always use a car. With the chopper is faster though.
The purpose of this job is to find three (3) hidden packages scattered across the map. Those packages can only be seen by the VIP himself after performing some "hacks". (Don't worry, there is nothing illegal here. that's how the game calls them). There are 3 types of hacks in this job. The order may change though. After doing the first one, other players are notified and can come after you. If they kill you, you lose the job so be careful.

The first hack
In this hack you need to press "enter" when the highlighted block has the red line passing through it. It's pretty easy!

The second hack
In this hack, you are trying to locate the IP adress shown. All those changing numbers make it hard for you to find it. But eventually, you are going to succeed!

The third hack
This is the easiest of them all. What you have to do is simple. Press enter when the red letters are passing through the highlighted line in the center. You have to "lock" the letters one by one.

After each hack a new package appears on the map.
Hostile Takeover
Hostile Takeover
This one is more difficult than the "Sightseer". There are four (4) locations that you can choose for this job. The locations are listed below.
  • Altruist Camp
  • Merryweather Base
  • Fort Zancudo
  • LSIA (Los Santos International Airport)

What you have to do is simple. Go to the location and kill every NPC next to the package. Get the package and escape to the drop-off point. Cops are after you, so if you are alone you might die sometimes. Don't be afraid though. You don't lose the mission unless another player kills you and gets the package to the drop-off point.

Altruist Camp Package Location
Fly up there with a helicopter. Be careful of the NPCs. Sometimes there are a lot spawning.
This is how the camp looks like

Merryweather Base Package Location
Get to the location and kill the merryweather units. After doing that successfully, go up the ladder and enter a room that looks like this. There might be enemies inside, so be careful. After entering that room, there is another room where the package is located. You can't miss it!

Fort Zancudo Package Location
It's not a package. It's a TANK!! You are going to have some fun with that one.
Get to this location and kill the enemies. If you can't find your way out, I might be able to help with that
LSIA Package Location
This is the location. There are not much more to say. Just try not to die because you might spawn a little far from the package. So get in and out as fast as possible.
Most Wanted
Most Wanted
This is actually a challenge and not a work. You are going to need at least a bodyguard for this. Otherwise you can't start the challenge. If you have a bodyguard you just need to get in a kuruma and start the challenge. What you have to do is survive a 5 star wanted level for 10 minutes. Which is really easy to do with the Kuruma. After finishing that, everyone will be awarded considerably. I don't have any screenshots for this, as there isn't anything really worth showing.
Piracy Prevention
Piracy Prevention
This is one of the best VIP works you can do. It awards you with 30k. BUT there are some problems with that. You need to be in a lobby with people other than your organization. You must also have a yacht, yeah... But if you already have those things you can start the job and stay at your yacht for 10 minutes. You need to defend it from the attackers. Most of the times it's quiet. But Sometimes there might be a lot of people coming so you should better hire some bodyguards just in case.
Getting Money
Describing the VIP jobs we are going to use is over!
There are 2 things you should consider now.
  • Playing alone ( or with friends) in an invite only session
  • Playing in public sessions. Alone ( or with friends ).

Playing in an invite only session
It has it's pros and it's cons.
You can play 3 VIP works. "Hostile Takeover", "Sightseer" and "Asset Recovery"(Which i don't recommend because i find it really boring)
Start with the location that's closest to you at the "Hostile Takeover" job. Finish it, get your payment.
Wait 5 minutes and start the "Sightseer" job. Finish it and get your payment.
Repeat doing these jobs until you are bored. You are always going get the money and you must be really unlucky not to win these jobs in an invite only session.

Playing in a public session
You can start every single job. You can hire some bodyguards and start some challenges. If you have a yacht. Start with the "Piracy Prevention". Wait five minutes and start another job. Such as "Sightseer". Keep doing VIP jobs and the "Most Wanted" challenge until you are bored. Players will most likely to come after you, though. So you might not always get the money. Other VIPs might start their jobs and might slow you down from your goal and might cost you some valuable time. Don't forget, there is a five minute cooldown between jobs and each job has it's own cooldown. For example, "piracy prevention" has a 1 hour cooldown. Then, another problem is the modders. They can truly ruin your experience and not let you finish your Jobs successfully.
Not a VIP
You are in need for some money
I have some tips for you. You will most likely know all these.
  • Do some heists. Either alone or with your friends.
  • Do some missions. GTA Online is not just only about killing other players in freemode. Keep that in mind
  • Do the daily objectives. Those little, fast and easy things are really underestimated.

Heists
It's better to play with your friends. Why? Because you are not going to get any players that leave the job half way through. Plus. If you complete all the heists with the same crew you get an extra 1.000.000$ (1 million ) each. if you complete every heist and setup missions, in order you get another 1.000.000$ (1 million ) each. Which is really cool. Then there is the "Criminal Mastermind" challenge. In which you have to complete every heist (including setup missions) in order, with the same team members on hard difficulty with no deaths. this will award you with 10.000.000$ (10 million) each. Awesome huh?

Missions
There isn't that much to say about the missions really. Most of the time is a small task that pays considerably. The more time you take to complete the mission the more money you get. (Caps at 15 minutes if i'm not mistaken)

Daily Objectives
Probably the easiest way to get an extra 25.000$ in GTA Online in just about 10 minutes.(Or less, if you know what you are doing). It gets even better! If you complete the daily objectives for a week you will be awarded an extra 100.000$. Can this get even better? Yes! If you complete daily objectives everyday for a month you will get an extra 500.000$. You will also be granted some RP but since this is a money guide i am not mentioning it.
UPDATED Finance and Felony DLC
Finance and Felony
The latest DLC for GTA online has finaly arrived. It has some new features such as cars, clothes, weapon modifications, offices, new VIP jobs and more.

You can now become a CEO by buying an office. There are 4 available offices at the following locations. The interior and functionality is the same, the only thing that changes between them is the location.
To buy an office simply pull up your phone and click this site (Dynasty 8 Executive)
Why should i become a CEO?
You have unlimited time as a VIP. You can buy warehouses and store cargo in them untill you are ready to sell. Here is a map of all the available warehouses
There are a lot of types of cargo. The type of cargo doesn't matter. The quantity, does. Meaning that the more cargo you have stored the more money you are going to earn if you sell them. Here are the prices of the cargo and the value of my warehouse, which isn't full, yet.
How do I make money as a CEO?
VIP jobs, again. There are 3 brand new VIP jobs. 2 of them work in sessions with other players. 1 of them, the "Headhunter", works in Invite only sessions too. What you have to do is simple. Assassinate all the targets before the time runs out. If you have a "Savage" helicopter this will be a lot easier and faster. If you complete the "Headhunter" you will get about 20.000$. Another way to get money is by buying crates (this can only work in public sessions). The 2.000$ crates are better because you spend less money to fill up your warehouse, thus you have more profit. But, it's much more time consuming filling up a warehouse of 111 crate slots 1 by 1. If you are playing with your friends, I think it's better to go for the 2 or 3 crates even though they are more expensive. To fill up a warehouse of 111 slots with 1 crate at a time you are going to need 222.000$. With 2 crates at a time, you are going to need 442.000$. Buying 3 crates at a time means that you will have to spend 666.000$ (I hope my math is correct). It's much more expensive but much faster. Be careful, other players can destroy your crates(not when they are stored but when you are transporting them). When you have reached the disared amount of crates, sell them. It's better to sell the cargo in public sessions with no people. Players can destroy your cargo with ease. This means that you are going to lose a lot of money, if not all of them. Also, another way to make some money, is completing alone the "Salvage" challenge. As "Ruby Rose" quoted in the comment section: "the salvage challenge mode gives you 50 checkpoints underwater which are all close to eachother, and they give you $50 initally but add $50 per checkpoint maxing out at $500, you get about $17,500 for winning the challenge so that coupled with $500 for around 40 checkpoints can net you about 40-55K if you let one of your organization members solo it."

VIP jobs
I've come up with a quick plan of how to make money. This will be about 60 minutes of Jobs. It might take some time to travel from point "A" to "B". but here it is.
Job
Payout aprox.
Piracy Prevention
30.000
Crate
-2.000
Hostile Takeover
15.000
Crate
-2000
Sightseer
20.000
Crate
-2000
Headhunter
20.000
Crate
-2000
Sightseer
20.000

This is equal to 97.000$ per hour of VIP jobs. Money are spent to buy the crates but the profit is much larger.

Don't worry, guides goes outdated all the time, and it's a huge pain of updating them.
Zydith  [autor] 14 stycznia 2018 o 10:22
You are right. I tried to keep the guide simple, things have changed since the guide was posted. Other methods might be better. This is some general information for new CEOs/VIPs that are trying to get started. I should have written that the offices have the same interior design and just their location changes but back then I didn't know that. I didn't have enough money to test that. And as the time passed and realised that, i forgot to update the guide.:steamfacepalm:

After completing some organization work, you need to wait an extra five minutes to start a different organization work. An extra five minutes is added to the last done work so shift between different work. You will get bored quickly if you kept doing the same work.
SUPER-TANK 14 stycznia 2018 o 4:05
You're welcome. But I forgot something else to say:
After your VIP contract has expired, it then required a cool down of 12 hours in real life to be available again. This also counts down even if you are not playing.
The offices have only their location differed, their general functionality is the same.
You don't need heists to get all money needed for VIP, things like Missions, Free Mode events, etc. There's just a wide variety of things to achieve it. Offices are the things you need heists to fund.
Yachts are way too expensive, so I recommend do something like Airfreight or Haulage, the latter can only be done in public lobbies.
If you wanted a break from all those Organization stuff and use passive mode, feel free to resign. You can resign and re-register at all times without a cost, since your office is still there.

Thanks for the information! I will update the guide!
SUPER-TANK 13 stycznia 2018 o 21:02
After the Gunrunning Update, the money required to become a VIP has been greatly reduced to $50,000. I'll suggest to put this on.

The Hackconect (IP address thing) is the most annoying thing ever compared to the other two during Sightseer. But if you are doing it solo and you have a stolen chopper then take your time. The fifteen minutes are all the time in the world once you have good transportation.

Thanks for commenting! Yes, it is possible to buy crates in a public session with only 1 player in it (you). Have fun !! :steamhappy:

Very useful guide!
Is it possible to buy crates in opened (public) session if there is only one player (me)?

Thanks a lot!
