Varied Zombies

NOTE: this mod is purely cosmetic, if you are looking for armoured cataphract zombies (artillery) you shall be dissapointed
also as it changes only textures for zombies, completely save compatible works on raise zombies spell ect.

IF THIS MOD IS OUTDATED AND YOU WANT TO PLAY IT BADLY: tick load out of date mods, it will be completely compatible with any update and will tide you over till I update it

Hey I was bothered that there wasn't much zombie variety +the clothes they wore weren't actually worn by anyone in the empire so I found myself learning how to mod to edit them, a heap of hours later and here we are.
the zombies are now much more varied, have different weapons and alltogether are much better (for me at least) to look at.

NOW RELEASED: Mousillon ONLY reskin submod.
this incorporates this mod too. no other of my mods required.

Mousillon TOTAL reskin for vampire counts faction here, it has the bret zombies+ heaps of other goodies. and is being updated.

Bretonnian themed zombies standalone
the lady won't help you now

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS- please read here as there are that many questions asked again and again so I figured I'd clear the common ones up.

why dont you add MORE varation??

I would love to add more variation but to my knowedge(and I'd love to be wrong here) the maximum variety per unit is 5 items. so 5 chests 5 hats 5 legs.

why can't you mix this one with bretonian?

adding lets say a bretonian head helmet would do would mean is that some of the variants generated from the "pool" would inevitably have bretonian helmets on empire chests/legs as a potential combination
which from a lore standpoint I don't enjoy. so I shan't .
it might be possible though. but for now , no I'm afraid.

why aren't my units as varied as the pictures??
graphics settings, the variety is 5 per slot as previously mentioned. but if your unit detail and/or unit textures aren't on highest settings it can potentially make the limit of unique items per unit even smaller.

Dwarf/chaos/orcs zombies????
I'd like to make potential dwarf or chaos zombies, but without a lot of texture editing and I do mean a LOT for each variant you'd just have "dwarf body with a zombie head" or chaos body ect.

as for orcs they suffer from the same problem

Oh,! Ok, well I thought it was possible to combine both mods. I guess I'll use only one. Thank you :)

the dirty zombies mod edits the zombie textures as well, so no luck there Cago

When used with the "dirtier zombies mod" the clothes stand out as clean (as well as the hands) and the head/flesh is dirty. Is there a way to "fix" this?

Have you considered doing a "variation" mod for Norsca? They could use it, and you've done such great work on your other ones. Mainly their berserkers and etc that have the same problems the Wood Elves had.

Hmm the von carstein zombies don't get the color variations. Might want to look into that!

Copying your unit variants color table, renaming it, and changing the faction line to wh_main_vmp_schwartzhafen fixed it.

Combined with something like State troops of the Empire it's amazing.

This is cool, but I'd like to see some dirt on the outfits to dull out the colors and show that they came out of the ground. Everything looks too clean! Don't know if it's possible, just a thought. Thank you for your hard work!
