I mean, that fantasy series is one of my favorite, and that picture is from the new edition, I saw in the Bookstores couple years ago, I myself own the old one. It took me about a year to recognize it actually. I just kept going back to it.
And then it shot me in the face. The elf-looking guy, the bodyguard! (they are actually called something like ""free folk"). I googled the books and there it was. lol. The Empire it was indeed.
I really hope nobody asks you to take it down. Something tells me this picture might be under "all rights reserved" tag. Good luck, and good work so far.
The Illustration, featuring "The Council" I guess. From the First Look I thought I knew it for some reason. I couldn't really tell why, but I kept returning to it. At some point I started to notice some familiar details.
Big surprise is... It's the Illustration from the Cover of Russian Fantasy "Diamond Sword, Wooden Sword" - as a direct translation, by Nick Perumov. Wait. Wait.
Wait.
The funny part is... It illustrates the magical council of the... Empire. Bloody Empire. Yeah, quite generic, roman style empire. With Emperor. Sitting on his Throne. You can see it on the full picture here:

The Woman in the Red Dress, painted over original illustration is covering the throne.
I'm not criticizing. Not really. Just the Irony of the situation and your strange choice of Cover makes me laugh my brain out.
