Description
Replaces traffic lights with kind of North American-looking versions from Cities in Motion 2

These traffic lights appearance is based off traffic lights found in another Colossal Order's game 'Cities in Motion 2'. They bear some resemblance to New York traffic lights.

No other mods/assets required. This mod doesn't conflict with any mods and can be safely disabled at any time. For this mod to function properly make sure that both the mod and the props (AmericanTrafficLightMain and AmericanTrafficLightWalk) are enabled in Content Manager. If you experience white traffic lights LODs it's More Flags mod to blame :'( Somehow More Flags screws illumination maps on all props.

Quite obviously, this mod can't be used together with other road traffic lights replacers.

I highly recommend to use this mod together with American RoadSigns, Roads United: North America and Emergency Light Changer for full American roads experience.

Thanks to Matt Crux a.k.a. Shroomblaze for helping me with traffic lights meshes. Without him, this mod wouldn't be possible because I suck at 3D modelling.

Ah, Thank you for the answer to my question. It had me confused as to what was going on.:steamhappy:

@Gimzi Because that's how it was in Cities in Motion 2 and that's how Cities: Skylines implements it as well

Why are the lights not on the far side of the intersection.

i had to unsubscribe, for some reason at a four way intersection i only get traffic lights on one road, the other crossing road has none.

This was the first traffic lights mod ever. The main purpose of it was to figure out how custom traffic light props could be made (they require an unusual type of texture maps which is not present in other props). As I'm really bad at 3d modelling I just picked up a model that could be easily extracted and matched CO games' scope 😊

I somehow never saw that nor would have guessed. Thanks for clarifying!

Well, this asset is based on the Cities in Motion 2 model and not on some real traffic lights 😉 Changed the title to avoid confusion.

There are other traffic light packs with those features you can download and use BOB or Traffic Light Replacer to replace them.

Actually some of the poles in Arizona are brown and flat, say phoenix for example. And in other areas the stoplights have black covers. It would be nice to customize the color of the light poles and covers.

It's Dark Gray stoplights with metallic silver poles in Maricopa County, Arizona as of the last time i was there, though this is more Eastern US then Western US, though minus the poles and put them on powerlines and you get the specific area i'm in right now being North Carolina, anyways this is a Great mod i like it, though i would also like the dark gray option for a alternative as i have a Western US themed map theme.
