Introduction

"Hear ye, hear ye!"

Town Events are designed to add variety to the Hamlet over the course of a campaign. Upon returning from an expedition, there is a chance for a thematic event to trigger in town. The events only last one week.

Some of these events will be good, some will be bad and some will be really bad. Some of them will only happen after you complete certain quest, most will happen at random.

When an event is available, you can check it in the bottom menu of the Hamlet.

  • A Thief in the Night: The Horrid Shrieker has stolen 8 Trinkets from your chest. In order to retrieve them, you must kill its Nest. Can happen more than once.

  • Brigand Incursion: a level 6 mission involving fighting bandits attempting to raid the Hamlet as well as their leader Vvulf. There are three potential Ancestor's Knapsacks available during this quest.

    • Can't happen before Week 20
    • You need to have at least 4 Level 5 heroes
    • The base chance of this event ocurring is about 9% and will slightly increase every week
    • If you ignore the event, Vvulf destroys 2 of your building upgrades at random

    • +10% ACC vs Marked
    • +3% CRT vs not size 1

Vvulf will keep coming back until you kill him. Be warned, this quest is as hard as the Darkest Dungeon quests. It might be more worth it to lose some building upgrades instead of valuable heroes.

  • /previewicon]A Maddening Whine: Triggers the first mission in the Courtyard, starting the Crimson Court questline.

  • Heresy in the Blood: If at least two heroes that have the Crimson Curse, the Fanatic will start to roam the dungeons in search for the cursed.

    • The more cursed heroes in your party, the higher the chance of him appearing.
    • If you are to encounter the Fanatic during your expedition, a special loading screen will appear when the Dungeon is loading
    • He will always surprise your party.

He can be defeated and encountered more than once. When defeated, he will drop gems and trinkets related to the Crimson Curse.

for brigand incursion the buildings don't get destroyed if you fail the guest, even if you just throw a level 0 scrub in and instantly retreat (you don't need to sacc if there's only 1 hero), ive done this twice so far

For events that give you heroes, you must take them from the event itself. It's weird that game dont tells it to player

So, anybody has defeated Vvulf on NG+?
Macdennis 18 jun, 2016 @ 11:49
The correct plural for Highwayman is Highwaymen not mans
Biggest Boss [Knockout] 9 jun, 2016 @ 2:46
There is also the laying low event for idle highwaymen getting 1 resolve
Sir Francis 8 jun, 2016 @ 17:33
The Vvulf only has 10% crit chance, being just about average. You propably mean his high as damage there :)
