Razer Synapse: Black Screen, Sound Loops, Errors

This guide will help you solve the issues discribed in the title. They are connected to a service which is installed alongside Razer Synapse.

What is this about?
I have read several community forum threads these past couple of months from people complaining that they couldn't launch CS:GO properly (black screen, sound loop), and others would recommend them to close Razer Synapse before launching the game.

This isn't necessary, as there is a better, permanent solution. The cause isn't Razer Synapse per se but the so-called Razer Game Scanner Service that is being installed along with it in recent updates of Razer Synapse.

If you disable said service, which is constantly running in the background and eating up your CPU resources (and apparently interfering with the smooth running of games as well), the problem should be solved and you won't have to close Razer Synapse each time you are about to launch CS:GO.
How to disable the Razer Game Scanner Service
UPDATE: This particular service is no longer automatically installed with your Razer software, so there shouldn't be an issue. In case you are still using an outdated version of their software and run into this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Launch services.msc by typing it into the Search field upon clicking the Windows button in your taskbar:



  2. Locate Razer Game Scanner in the list of services.

  3. Double-click the service's entry, then click Stop and set the Startup type field to Disabled and then click OK:



  4. Done.

The Game Scanner Service is not required for your Razer software and drivers to run properly. It is merely a service that is somehow connected to Razer Comms, which is a platform that connects the Razer community: http://www.razersupport.com/software/comms/

@Goldsilence214: It could be a driver issue (outdated drivers), a settings issue, or an overheating issue. It has certainly nothing to do with Razer Synapse.

That's because Razer removed this service from their package a long time ago. This guide is old. ;)

How about you simply deactivate your Discord Overlay or whatever overlay you have active?

I checked services, and Razer isn't even there, the issue I have is that whenever I try to join a match, right after loading, the screen goes black, I can still hear everything though, it's so annoying, there's almost no fix on the internet for some reason as well.....
