I left Stellaris rather long ago. iirc there are some lines of code which should prevent the problem you've observed. If its really only with this mods species, I'm pretty sure it's some weird incompatibility issue.
Nonetherless, of course, this mod is reather outdated and could be rather bugged.
I may can try to update in around 2 week (I have some days off then), but no promises; Stellaris is currently on the lowest priority :S
Do robots also have the same species rights as biological life forms?
If yes, you can purge them too.
Do robots have an extra tab for there species rights?
Then it's may not affacted by this mod.
should work fine now - but plöease note that I still don't play Stellaris anymore and only did the most basic testing ;)
