Effective Short Strategy on Dust 2 + some other flashes/smokes

This strategy is an effective way to get across the map without casualties (only if you're lucky enough not to get killed through a smoke :) ) and to take over site quickly and effectively. Bear in mind there can be slight alternatives to this strat and I will add a bit more smokes to cover you XD. This strategy consists of easy (or fast but precise and effective) smokes that will help you on your journey and it will certainly do you good. I recommend you do this if you DO NOT have a B Spawn because time counts right? You also want to see if everyone can FULL BUY or BUY REAL WEAPONS! maybe $4,000 + will do. First you will want 2 snipers, 2 rifleman and 1 smg (I recommend this loadout). Everyone should also have a Smoke, a flash or 2 and a decoy if you're going to trick the enemy.

This strategy will do you good because I have done this in a Nova Match and it has definitely worked for me in every round.

Step 1: The 'Xbox' Smoke

For those who are wondering how to do the Xbox smoke you have read the right guide in front of you. I will show you a creative and fast smoke I came up with and the odds of this smoke are roughly 2/3. The grenade trajectory looks slightly similar to Crashz Xbox smoke. I will post the Crashz smoke and my smoke to show the differences but bear in mind my smoke is VERY TRICKY!. BUT... It is very effective and if you DO IT RIGHT The CT's have no chance at peeking T Spawn.

Yes as I said this will be a bit tricky because there's no easy way to line this smoke with any object. Before you do this smoke PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRACTICE THIS SMOKE FIRST!

Alright. Aim at where I am aiming and this might sound tricky but Do not hold any keys when doing this smoke. You want to do a very small run like a tap on w and at the same time quickly tap spacebar and left click at the same time.


If this smoke succeedes you will end up with this.



Now lets see the difference/similarity of Crashz smoke. Note: I did not create this smoke or intend to take credit of this version of the Xbox smoke.


This smoke might also seem tricky at first but you will get used to this smoke faster. Note my smoke is also faster as it is right inside T spawn. Lean against the wall until 2 wires meet and then aim at the very origin of those 2 wires and throw. It should look like this.


Now that you know how to smoke Xbox you can then move onto the next step.

Step 2: Taking over A site

I am about to show you some so called 'One-Way Smokes' and some effective smoke spots but to be honest... anyone could have made these smokes if they spent time on this map.

Note: This is Crashz map and all credit goes to him.

To start you want to clear Cat. Not Catwalk but Cat. Catwalk has already been smoked off by the Xbox smoke and is clearly free. Once you have cleared Cat you then want to see if there is anyone in the very corner of the door entrance to your left, the rice corner, Elbow/Long Ninja and Short Ninja/Barrels. That's all, DO NOT PEEK A SITE YET! Now I will show the trickiest smoke of this strat but also bear in mind this is definitely predictable. This smoke is highly unable to give you easier access to site but there is a chance that you can take out a sniper watching from Goose.


Stand in this corner and follow the pictures. (The aim is not 100% accurate but before you try this YOU MUST PRACTICE THIS SMOKE)


Basically you are aiming at the sky so of course you have A VERY HIGH CHANCE OF FAILING! But no need this is just an optional smoke.

Once you have aimed simply left click. Then the smoke should land some where here. NOTE: DO NOT PEEK SITE!!! ONLY PEEK GOOSE!


You will be able to see his legs. Also note that this smoke does not cover very far so BE VERY QUICK!


Like I said be quick and DO NOT PEEK SITE!

Also tell your team not to push because if they do they will be r.aped on the spot.

Try finish this smoke before the Xbox smoke wears out.

The next smoke you want to do is a fairly easy one.
When you go up the stairs stand beside the boxes NOT ON THE BOXES!


Now aim here


Also Note: Share this guide to your friends if you find this useful because if I get enough support/ encouragement from this guide I WILL UPLOAD A SMOKE THAT YOU CAN SEE THROUGH. YES... SEE THROUGH! NO BS IT IS LEGIT. But yes I need the support.

Once you have aimed on that point simply left click. Then move to the other side of the boxes once the smoke has popped. There wil be a small gap in the corner.


Note: If this smoke fails you would have smoked ct (except the very top part of the smoke) so there are some side-benefits to this smoke if it fails.

STEP 3! Just smoke ct if the one way smoke succeedes. Then have SMG player jump down onto elevator and smoke long. Then he/she will take out anyone on ramp/site.

Note: As he/she is clearing long PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BACK HIM UP WITH THE ONE WAY SMOKES AND A FLASHBANG! AND MAKE SURE YOU THROW THE FLASHBANG BEHIND YOUR TEAM. 2nd Note: If you play SMG MAKE SURE TO CHECK CAR!

Well that's about it for my guide but before I finish I will show some smokes that aren't very common/ or they are common but easier versions of that smoke.

Note: TELL YOUR TEAM TO SCATTER DECOYS IN LOWERS, BEHIND MID DOORS, TOP MID AND LONG! You will be sure you have tricked them good. Maybe throw the last decoy in ct or bedroom. Either will do. As I said there are variables in this strat which is what makes it effective.

Some other smokes/flashes

You guys all know where Elbow is right? Or should I say Long Ninja.


If you have no clue of which spot I'm talking about there is an arrow that is pointing right at it :D.

The smoke and flashes I am about to perform are for NINJAS. YES FOR NINJAS!


When you're in that position note that you should be leaning against the boxes and not towards them. And aim at the very top vent if you are going to smoke the bomb planted INSIDE SITE. It should look like this.


Note this will only block the view of anyone in goose.


Okay I advise you to have a bind key on game instructor which will tell you where the bomb is planted. This is an advantage for any ninja.

Note: the game instructor can even sense the bomb from the very side of ct.

The command is: bind "(the letter you prefer)" "toggle gameinstructor_enable"

I also have 2 flashes that could also do you good on your road to ninja defusing.

Look at this wall and left click.



Note: Do not aim too much towards the building as the flash will bounce off the wall and be a wasted flash. It should look like this if thrown correctly.

Note: This is a Jump + Medium Throw (left click + right click) and if you use this flash DO NOT JUMP AND THROW AT THE SAME TIME OR YOU WILL FLASH YOUR SELF! (Or just fail the flash) First you want to jump. Once you are at the peek of your height then let go of the grenade and then it will be thrown over the boxes.

also note that this will flash anyone who sees this on ramp, goose and elevator. Note if you throw the flash with a left click it will only short flash anyone at long. When I mean short flash I mean blinded for a short duration due to the distance of the flash exposed on the player.




The next one is a one-way smoke on site.

Note: This will work when watching ramp.

Line your crosshair in the middle of this box stack, then move towards it.


Then you want to right click your smoke between these two white tags.


Then move back a little and crouch. (I did not take a screenshot as my game was very laggy [fps drop to like 10fps] as the smoke was in front of my face) but I have the enemy's POV of the smoke.


The next smoke is for ct's watching long at the start of the round.

Note: You must be quick on this smoke or it will be useless. As the Ts will go past the smoke.

Aim somewhere around here. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T AIM AT THE WALL BUT SOME WHERE ON THE SIDE OF THAT BIG GAP!

Well there is another flash I thought would be more effective than those.

Get onto this corner here.



See that curved wall? Run and jump throw and it will bounce to the left.


There you go... A flash alternative.

If you're thinking of smoking cross at the start of the round just get on this corner. Not the corner with that truck.



Aim inbetween the top of that building corner and the wire and left click. Do not cross till the smoke pops.

Don't worry... The smoke will block the terrorists.
