  • Celsius (FFX-2 Save Editor) + MemorySumChecker: www[dot]mediafire[dot]com/download/r76ovrm4g4ww771/Celsius_MSC.zip

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Steps
  1. First open the Celsius.exe(Celsius\bin\Release\)
  2. Press F2 -- this will open the Properties window.
  3. Click the dropdown bar at the top and set it to "Celsius"
  4. Navigate to "Misc" and set to "Leblanc" for the PsuIO (You will be able to load your FFX-2 HD save and make changes.)
  5. After you click "Open" and load your save, use the arrow buttons at the bottom to navigate the menu and change what values you'd like.
  6. Save and Close.
  7. Open MemorySumChecker. (this fixes the checksum, without this, your save will be corrupted upon loading)
  8. Click on the (F) or File then (O) or Open.
  9. Make sure the dropdown selection has the "X-2 HD" option selected.
  10. Click the Blue Play button and close.
  11. Launch FFX-2 HD and load up your save.
  12. Enjoy.

Below will be a screenshot to guide you on how to follow along with steps 2-6 for a more "user-friendly" approach.

*Again, this is strictly for fun purposes (primarily after the fact that you've beaten/completed the game -- not intended for any achievement cheating purposes) or challenging purposes. If you experience any issues with the save editor, you may need to wait until the creator releases a newer version of the program

If you are looking to edit your FFX HD save then check out my other guide (containing what you will need including a program a made) here or check out rodrigo_vda's guide (if you would like to use a Hex Editor that you may already have, instead of the program I made) here.

Yeah I suppose that should be mentioned. Unlike other games devs, Square Enix often keeps saves in a folder in your 'Documents' file rather than in the Steamapps/common with the game files. Seems more intuitive to me that way but some people don't ever look. :MFF_Mog:

ah.. ok guess im dumb.. but would help if this was shown clearly.. there is specific save files in your documents for anyone who couldn't figure it out like me.. so you DON'T want to open the one in steamapps common blabla.. thanks a lot for this guide though

Uhh.. well I guess it uses the files from the celsius folder.. but whats confusing me is why they look like they're made for an emulator, hence why says .psu.. don't see how this will translate into steam, at all, but I'm trying. It just says "load up the save" after you finish, doesn't say to move the save to steam.. this is the only part confusing me.

@tranviniperv - I don't know what happened to your comment but it's pretty straightforward if you actually follow the guide along while performing the actions side-by-side. The best I can do after that is to provide screenshots and highlight areas to click in each step to make it very "user friendly". I can do that.

In all honesty I don't know. Typically save editors are for editing stats, inventory, and even some game events. But that falls more under the topic of plot flags. It's a little more in depth than simple stat editing. I haven't gone in depth into what exactly Celcius can do and what it can't. You'd have to experiment to find out.

Personally though that's exactly why I save before every major event in a new file. So if something happens I can go back to the specific point to fix it. Not as helpful if that was 3 chapters ago for you but it's all you can do really unless you want to really play around with your save.

Will this allow me to check off things that give % points? I did EVERYTHING in chapter 1, but the save viewer is telling me I didn't get the % points for entering the Moonflow and talking to Tobli. I definitely did both those things, because I finished that quest, his cart is now at the top of the area, and I have the gun mage and helios guard rewards. For some reason the game didn't give me the percent points for it though.
Can I use Celcius to edit the save to fix those percent points?

Celcius doesn't have the ability to change stats like that as far as I know. I would advise trying a memory editor like Cheat Engine or use another editor like Farplane if you want to do that. Not sure if Farplane can as I've never tried but you can try.

I am having a problem with this I would like to change the stats (Strength, Evasion etc) however it seems that I can not do that at all.

I have to second Mage_rahl's issue. The program window cannot be expanded horizontally at all, and cannot be extended vertically lower than the background image. This means that if the save file tree is long enough, it pushes the controls (the 'welcome' and arrows allowing for control of the application) off the edge of the window, with no way to access them.

For anyone else who runs into this issue, a functional work around is to navigate to the page of edit options you want to access. THEN open the save. Make your edits, save them, then exit the program. Relaunch the Celsius editor, navigate to the next set of edits you want to make, then reopen the save. Repeat until your save is fully edited.

Yeah that's normal Mage. But that's not a problem with the editor. I've used it on all sorts of screens and it always scales with the resolution. I don't know why it wouldn't do it for you. Does it do this with any other program? If it does then it's either your computer or screen. If not then I don't know.

Even if this is not the case I don't understand why you don't just click the top of the editor and drag it across the page to access the other third when you need to. Sure it's not a perfect solution but there is no reason it shouldn't work.
