It's an even greater help for anyone using the RP rule of "don't loot or use bloodied equipment", which makes obtaining the Imperial Heavy set a bit troubley (either work for it or steal from the Dunmer in Windhelm or start the war)
That said, I agree that they could've mixed it up a bit more in the "worldspace" of Tamriel (as opposed to the Soldiers in the fort battles, which are basically cannon fodder). Based on their appearance I'd say all Imperial Soldiers were scouts. I like the idea of different soldier types in particular. Maybe I'll play around with it and see what I can come up with.
I don't really know how to retexture faces or anything along those lines, though. Because of the gray-face bug and nav-mesh bug I've been reluctant to do any extensive modding of any kind, tbh.
