How to make Terraria into Terraria Collectors Edition. (Windows, Linux, Mac)

How to edit your Terraria into Terraria Collectors Edition to get an exclusive pet!

Introduction

In this guide i will show you how to change your basic Terraria version into the Terraria Collectors Edition version to get that exclusive pet bunny.

You can get the carrot anytime through editors but the bunny will not appear! you need Collectors for the item to actually work.

How to do it (Windows, Automatic)

Open up command prompt and paste in

reg.exe add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Terraria" /f /v Bunny /t REG_SZ /d 1

How to do it (Windows, Manual)

1st step

CLOSE TERRARIA FIRST then goto Start Menu or Windows+R and type Regedit and ok.

2nd step

Open Regedit and you should see this screen.

3rd step

Double click HKEY_CURRENT_USER

4th step

Double click Software

5th step

Double click Terraria

6th step

Now you should see on the right (Default) REG_SZ (value not set).
Right click the white area under it and click New and then String Value

7th step

Rename the new added string to Bunny

8th step

Right click Bunny and click Modify...

9th step

Now put number 1 in the Value Data and click Ok

10th step

Now you should see somthing like this and you are done!

11th step

Close the screen and start playing Terraria!

How to do it (Linux, Mac)

Open up terminal/console. Command+Space and type in terminal or console.

Paste this command line in.

mkdir -p ~/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/terraria && echo '<values><value name="Bunny" type="string">1</value></values>' > ~/.mono/registry/CurrentUser/software/terraria/values.xml

What does the Carrot do?

You need to make a new character and it will start with a Carrot that you can use to spawn a pet Bunny. You can transfer this to any character also.


The pet Bunny will change colour with your shirt colour. So if you have a white shirt the Bunny will be white and so on.


Only people with Collectors Edition can use this item or even get it.
