Planet-Wide City Mod 2.1.3

Description
I am uploading a new mod that is an update to this. It is called Ecumenopolis Types 2.2. This mod will remain up, but will not get new features. The new mod is fully updated, but because of the way the game is updated, not everything will be the same as this mod. Thank you.

Link to the mod's update should be below:

This is my first real mod. I made it for personal use, but I thought others might like it. It adds a new megastructure called an "urban world". It is a worldwide city or ecumenopolis, like Coruscant from Star Wars. It also adds another type of megastructure called a "hive world". It is loosely based on the hive worlds and forge worlds from 40K. Finally, you can build an orbital array that can make the building of vanilla starships cheeper.

The urban worlds are specialized to increase energy, research, and influence production at the expense of other factors, while hive worlds increase mineral production at the expense of other factors.

An Urban World gives the following:

Energy Credits +10

Empire Influence gain +10%

Physics, Society, and Engineering Output +300%

Minerals -100%

Food Consumption + 200%

A Hive World gives the following:

Mineral Output +10

Energy Output = +5

Food Consumption + 200%

An Orbital Array gives the following:

Lowers build cost for vanilla ships by 10%

Lowers upkeep for vanilla ships by 10%

(For my early subscribers, the Utopia DLC caused me to more or less rewrite this mod, many things have changed, some things have been simplified, some things removed because they are no longer needed, like ringworld building, some things do not work like I thought they would, so please, be gentle, I am still learning to mod. Utopia DLC is required, I think. It might work without it, but I am not sure.)

You need to be able to build habitats in order to build my mod’s megastructures, so you will have to progress down the tech tree some and be “voidborn”.

This mod is overpowered. I tend to play this way for role-playing reasons, so I will most likely not focus on balancing features. I really appreciate it.

This mod should be compatible with pretty much anything else as I have not overwritten any files.

Please comment, they are appreciated.

P.S.

(My other mods are currently on hold so I can focus on this.)

You can also discuss the mod at the paradox forums.

Do you have a 1.9 compatible download?

Extra ecumenopolis specializations seems like a smart plan, and as mentioned by other people, having more variations in textures could be cool.

If I update this, should I replace the ecumenopolis that is in vanilla stellaris or should I add these worlds as extra options?

i sofar only saw that they give worlds a category for when they concentrate on special buildings , like Agrar or Forge world. I haven't noticed any outstanding grafical changes to the planets and the boni are rather underwhelming. Your mod didn't leave any doubts what the different types of worlds were about :)

I will think about it. Honestly, I am spread a little thin right now.

maybe you can make a ecumenopolis retexture mod from this?
