~An introduction~

Chateau Tunnels, a close quarters, tense, spooky, claustrophobic Checkpoint experience that continues the experience left off from 'Chateau_Redux'! Trading the open ended Hunt mode for the tight, linear Checkpoint, I set off from the beginning of the mapping process to make sure this would be an intense, and sometimes even scary map that had enough variation to make it worth coming back to. I worked many long hours on this, perfecting everything from the sound design, to the small details. I hope you enjoy the experience, as I take lots of pride in my work. Thank you for supporting my projects, it's what keeps me going. :)

~Special Thanks~

I'd like to give a very special thanks to my good friend Furflyer. He's been there to help me test my maps, giving input on all of the moving parts of my projects. Below, I'd like to post a review he wrote for a pre-release build of the map.

He was asked "What did you enjoy about your experience within the map? In regards to gameplay, atmosphere, etc.?"

His response: "What I enjoyed about the experience was the dark, intense atmosphere that, once you got deeper down, required you to have a flashlight; but at the cost of being seen by the oncoming enemy forces. It was fun, close quarters combat, with multiple different corridors and corners to cover, although not overwhelming. This map required lots of team work, and team communication, which is something I also enjoyed quite throughoughly. A few bugs here and there, and washed out textures (which, let's blame Source), gave this an experience an 8.5 out of 10."

One of my favourites so far, challenging and interesting to play, especially with 35 Angry Bots and ramping up their count to hundreds

The one in the room you spawn in doesn't open, however, the one down the tunnel has a c4 pack you must activate and stand clear of that breaches the door. Shine a flashlight on the door to see it if you can't. Press your binded 'use' key to activate.

Which doors? Some will open when you activate the c4 pack on them, others open when you capture points.
