How to force Med Bot on Claptrap?

Many people wonder how to get Med Bot VaultHunter.exe mode to spawn. Here you can read tips on it and watch how it spawns.This is text guide with addition of a video.

Some people claim this one is easy.... No, it is not.
Med Bot is one of VaultHunter.exe modes required for "That helped, right?" achievement. This video shows how i did get this mode and what i did to improve chance to spawn it. Instruction:
1. You need at least 1 coop partner and to force this mode 1 partner will be perfect. I have no idea if Med Bot can be spawned solo, i doubt it.
2. Respec your Fragtrap, do not put any points into any skill which could give you extra VaultHunter.exe modes - the less modes available, the better.
3. Remove shield and all health regenerating items.
4. Go into group of enemies, let them to attack you and your partner, do some harm to your team (health shouldn't be full on all teammates). This particular camp ("To arms!" mission weapons drop place) seems to be one of the best spots for this as it provides nice hideout from enemies when you want to lower your health but not to loose it completely.
5. Having laser weapon in hands probably improves rate of this mode.
6. When you and your partner both with lowered health are in hideout, spam VaultHunter.exe mode until you get Med Bot mode.
I received Med Bot on Nth try, definitely less than 10 tries.

BTW, with this Med Bot spawn i completed "That helped, right?" achievement :-) Unfortunately for some reason my recording software didn't capture Steam overlay and achievement pop is not visible on video, but still, i'm proud i made it happen and i'm glad to share with you recipe for Med Bot!

For me what worked is having 2 characters at the same level. I opened BLTPS, windowed it, then opened the game a second time by directly turning on the exe inside of win32 binaries or whatever. I set both instances to LAN, then hosted a game on my baronness. To do this I just went into Concordia. Then, I pressed "find game" on my second instance, the one with fragtrap, and found the first game. I joined that game, then the fun began. I unequip shields from both characters, then duel them. You only need to get the baronness to emergency (trinagle) hp once. Between action skill cooldowns, get the fragtrap low too. Basically just melee each other a couple times, then switch instances and melee again, then when both characters are red, just walk outside the arena. Use the fragtrap action skill and hope you get lucky.

Using my lvl6 claptrap, aka no additional action packages unlocked, I got one buddy and we stood in springs' garage where he downed himself (not actually necessary). Got medbot first try and second try.
Medbot will not spawn without co-op partner, this is known. Shield doesn't matter. Enemies don't matter. Laser weapon doesn't matter.

You can literally see what matters by looking at what hexes are analyzed during the activation effect.

Did not spec in anything, got the sacrifice once but can't get medbot at all. Keep getting rubber duck, funzerker and all other default modes.

I only play Solo, that explains why I didn't get it. Still, quite bullshit that you have to play co-op to get a character achievement
