If you absolutely, positively need a reliable companion then you want Haez.
She is deadly, has a multi-faceted spell list, and carries the "Fanged Katana." The best spellsword in Skyrim! She also carries a torch, a bow, and has her own set of Glass Armor. She is a smart, or super follower. More information can be found below!

Haez / Spellsword / Dead Man's Drink. (Balanced, compatible, and lore-friendly.)
This modification adds Haez, a level 30, Spellsword, Redguard to Dead Man's Drink in Falkreath.
She will level up with you, heals others, carries a torch, and is battle-ready from the get-go.

*Skyrim Shadows and FPS Fix used in pictures.

Level 30, Redguard / One-Handed, Destruction, and Restoration.
Fire, Ice, and Electric magicka. / Projectile, Constant, Conjure, and Runes.
One-handed, shield, and bow. / Fanged Katana, Hunting Bow, and Steel Arrows.
Healing spells, and torch. / Grand Healing, Healing Hands, Heal Other, Bound, and Light.

All of my followers include custom, in-depth spell lists, unique faces, traits, stats, and combat styles, along with weapons, and armor outfits. They do not set off traps, and do not affect your sneaking ability, they also level up with you, and start at varying levels, and locations.
